#### 🌞 Summary

In EPOCH, you play through the major phases of the creation of the universe. In the beginning there was nothing, then there was a big bang and you come to life as a tiny quark. Quickly amass matter until you become a supermassive black hole.

* Collect all matter in the universe

* Boosting will cause you to eject some mass

This game has incredible audio+visuals for a three-day project!
It plays super well too. It's a really satisfying experience.
+1 again to the audio - best audio I've heard so far during this jam.

Awesome, I love this! The visuals and music are perfect, the gameplay and theme are fun. Controls well too.
I would love to see some spawning of new matter during play, at one point I was stuck small, no matter around to ingest, but didn't really want to die. But it's a tiny detail as the runs are really fast, and probably would be anti-thematic anyway :) .

Visual is gorgeous and sound enhances the mood a lot. Loved the boost, feels very nice to speed up :smile:

Controls took me some time to get used to and the instadeath -> main menu could be just a level restart. But apart from that, I really really enjoyed the experience. Nice work

This game was very polished and very nice. It has a calming effect. I really really enjoyed it, and would definitely play it more. If this was a phone app I would spend hours just mindlessly playing it

Amazing game. Bravo! Graphics, Music, and Mechanics are perfect. I beat the game and felt very satisfied with my cute little 'super massive black hole' even if he was a destroyer of worlds. lol

Edit: I've been listening to the music in the background... If I could give you a 6 in audio I would!

Nice! Loved the theme of the big bang. Amazing music, professional looking graphics (also really cool title screen). Reminds me of Osmos, which I played a long time ago, but that one has a more relaxing feel. Very addictive, hope you add to it!

Great job with the big bang idea! I had the same one but didn't know what game play that would involve. I think everything's great about this game! I really enjoyed it!

As for the art, I aimed to combine 2D and 3D techniques seamlessly and also put more emphasis on shaders and visual effects. Each of the characters are composed of a 3D body and a 2D frame-by-frame animated graphic around it.

We'll write up some more of our development process in a post-mortem, stay tuned!

Me and my partner both loved the game! It is such a fun take on the grow-and-eat-others mechanic, the art is really pretty and the music fits it really well, too. :) And my partner especially liked the color indicators of who you can consume/who can consume you, it made it a lot less stressful. I don't really have any criticism, it was a very enjoyable experience!

That was such a nice experience! The graphics and music are really on point, I kinda felt Outer Wilds vibes. The gameplay is obviously Spore/agar.io but it's very well done and the overall feel of the game is what really does it for me. Very cool idea to combine 2D and 3D techniques! Congratulations on shipping a game that polished!

Very cool relaxing game. Love the visuals and music.
JFY it took the time to figure out that "green I can eat, but red - don't". Maybe game should explain it somehow.

The menu of the game itself is just amazing and relaxing to look at and I wont even start talking about the game cause it will take a long time to explain how amazing it is! The art is simple but beautiful and the music is just calm and it soothes your heart, well done!!

Wonderful game, loved the evolution of the music along with the 'scale' factor. I reache galaxy level but couln't get further. Only minor thing was I found it a little hard to tell if my size was big enough to consume another object.

Bonus points for doing all this in a web player version. Great stuff!

That was really cool! It reminded me of Agario (obviously) but the animations / art style is so cute and well polished. The music was great for setting the tone, and I loved the progression as you expanded into different categories until the inevitable conclusion. Great work, this was a super fun little game!
