There is only energy. From your energy, land and life will be created, and the land and life will return its energy to you.
The goal is to expand. Expand indefinitely. Good luck.
Controls --------
* Place tiles and animals using the left mouse button. * Consume animal energy by clicking animals with the left mouse button. * Use WSAD to move. * Use the mouse while holding the right mouse button to look around. * Press escape to see the instructions in-game.
Notes ------- * All animals need to eat. Without food, they die. * The orange bars above their heads indicate their hunger. * Sheep and cows eat grass. * Wolves eat sheep. * The animals will multiply after some time, if they survive. * The pink bars above their heads indicate their ability to mate. Empty bars signal readiness. It's like a mating call, but with bars.
Screenshot ---------- Changelog --------- 2019-10-07 - Fixed pathfinding. In some situations, the animals would be stuck.

This is a nice little game. It feels satisfying when you get a sustainable feedback loop going. I felt like the camera controls were a little janky. I had to adjust the camera whenever I moved along the z axis. I like that you went for 3d models, but the terrain could use a bit more work, maybe use something other than planes for the terrain.
Took me a while to get the game loop, but once I did I figured out the idea is to get something sustainable going. Neat idea. I did encounter a bug where it would say I was out of energy but I still had some left. My favorite aspect of the game was developing the land outwards. Good job.
I liked building up the ecosystem here and figuring out how it all fits together. Unfortunately, I had a problem where lots of animals would get stuck on the same tile and starve.
Interesting game, I really like the music, and the noise the animals make works really well. I did find that I could only place rocky tiles but the animals still seemed to be able to thrive, so it didn't seem to matter too much.
@lesinvisible I didn't get the chance to balance the game, let alone fix all of the bugs. The wolves are meant to provide you with a lot of energy when you kill them, so you can continue to make land. They also eat the sheep, which might be useful if there isn't enough grass. That was the idea anyway. I appreciate the feedback, and thanks for playing!
@locomule The game really needed a tutorial (I crammed this info into the esc menu). Eventually, the new tiles are rock instead of grass. The cows fertilize the rock tiles into grass. Thanks for the feedback!
i cant move with wasd anymore, can only turn with mouse. but look at all these beutiful sheeps. its lagging abit now, im not sure how many there are now, might be 200-400 of them now T_T. you sure they are not rabbits?
