Cute, but with no tutorial or a description of the controls, I wasn't able to get past the second level... give me a hint and I'll give it another shot!

the graphics look pretty amazing with nice shadows on the muffins. unfortunately i didnt figure out what is the purpose o the game but at least the graphics is ok.

pretty cool! i tought it´d easy muffin maker technology. but it was harder than I expected. I couldn´t remember what that cupcake looked like so I alway had to go back and make sure if I am doing right. But it was really fun and the graphic is so cute! Good job! :)

Cute game! Had the same problem as the first comment but figured it out and manage to get through. Cute graphics and the sound is super funny.

\- second level really ramps up in difficulty in either case (after reading the game description, I know what I'd need to do, but it still ramps up quickly in the sheer number of steps needed to solve the puzzle, plus it hadn't been introduced yet that you can collect multiple layers of icing from the same color, and there's no feedback of what colors you can and can't collect and when and why)

\- easy to go out of bounds with the jumping glitch

Really enjoyed the music, it fit the game so well. All the sfx were super cute and reminded me of Nintendo (the highest praise you can get). Overall a fun and cute game :smiley:

Haha, you know you get a high humor rating when I am already laughing while reading the description. This game is cuteness overload. I swear, I lost count of how many times I started chuckling. The background music is great, and the "Muffin!" sound effect made my day. Thanks for making this!

This was a very cute little puzzle-platformer! Nice happy mood and fitting graphics. Could have used a few more puzzle mechanics to increase the playtime, but I know there is never enough time...

I did not understand why 3D graphics were needed in this game. Her basic idea and gameplay look good in 2D as well. The tasks are quite simple, and in general I did not like the design of the presage and the environment

Simple and not standard platformer that makes you think about your actions for the future. Good 3D graphics and music make the game better.

This game is so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! The presentation is lovely, starting with muffin sound, ending with like a bazillion beutiful assets - seriously, what kind of artist do are you? :D You can't look at this game without a big smile on your face. At all.

The gameplay is quite simple, but very functional. I can easily see it expanded with more puzzles :)

I think Level 2 was the hardest and I'm not sure I would have been able to beat it without reading your hint. A better introduction to this gameplay concept ingame would help a lot, if you decide to do a post-jam version :) Is it intentional that you can multijump close to the Muffingham Dance Club? Because you can, might be a bug.

But yes, as I said, insanely sweet game that is a lot of fun and makes me feel good :slight_smile:

Great job. I had to come back and reread the description for the level 2 hint as I just jumped in to play and got stuck. Probably an idea to have say an all red one with a jump around the icing eater as an intro to that concept.

Magnificent puzzle platformer with fine art, nice sounds and great core idea. The only thing I think should be remade is movement, I think it should take after classic platformers with some jump restrictions.

Interesting and cute puzzle platformer! Very creative. I liked the cute graphics, all the different backgrounds, the music and cool sound effects!

I struggled so long to get the orange icing in the level where the button is right below a block (I didn't expect you could still pick up the icing that late!), that whenI finally managed, I totally forgot about the right order of colors and showed up with the wrong toppings. Feels like proudly showing up at a party with the wrong type of costume on. :wink:

The movement could use some work, at least in the webGL version. I didn't like that the jump had a fixed height, and also it felt a bit weird that the falling was slowed down.

Overall, good job!

A game worthy of 5*s. Couldn't fault a thing. Graphics are cute, music is on a fairly short loop but rather than irritating it's quite catchy. Puzzles were challenging enough, although if I feel like if there's an element you should add, it's definitely baddies. All in all, a great effort!

There are many variations of the theme name in this jam but "Start with muffin" beats them all :) Really like the mood and the gameplay but the controls need to be tighter. And it would be nice to see what color combination you need at any time, I had to run to the finish to double check it :) Overall - a very nice entry, thank you!

Really neatly packaged game, I saw a lot of things here. First off, the levels were actually quite engaging. You kept me playing cuz every level showed off a new idea/mechanic and it just pulled me along. Of course, the 2nd level mechanic probably could be explored more in future levels by having different routes that took off different amounts of icing, and perhaps ones where you have to dodge icing that's timed to hit you when you don't want it. Either way, the intentions of your level design was super clear and well done.

Were you guys going for a tiltshift effect with the postprocessing? If so, that's something I've always wanted to try but a. I've never gotten it to look good and b. I'm always afraid it'll run like crap on webgl or mobile. It looks like you found a decent solution though and it really helps sell the miniature world look.

Lastly, this is one unique theme haha. Not sure how you guys came up with a muffin for main character and gameplay but it's a great idea since they are decorated from scratch after all. Very creative and the game in general was hard to put down til the end.
