Come and enjoy *8-bit* of farming!
#### We've got an update! Here's the changelog:
- Fixed the music to not sound weird when walking around (used the wrong node, whoops.)
- Adjusted all of the prices (balance)
- Added 2 plants to the main room (balance)
- Fixed the vending machines to show the correct frame of the animation when found
- Fixed the UI completely bugging out when gaining enough of something at once
- Made the satisfying final unlock actually work
- Fixed inventory count to actually update when selling an item
- Fixed a small visual issue where farmland and crops would flicker
- Swapped music for a slower version (would have been in the original, but there was a last minute issue :<
The original version is still available on the Itch page for reviewing purposes.
#### :ALERT:
While playing post-jam, I noticed that sometimes when the UI gets a few extra digits of money, the UI will bug out. To fix this, just resize the window and it should magically go back to normal.
8-Bit of Farming is a retro-style tycoon game. Keep your farm alive by growing corn and buying upgrades!
#### Controls:
- Left click: Use item (Using tools)
- Right click: Interact (planting seeds, selling held items, opening gates, ect.)
- WASD/Arrows: Walk
- Mouse wheel: Change equipped item
#### Things that aren't as they should be:
- You can only sell items by holding a sellable item
- You can only fertilize farmland when there's nothing growing on it
#### Getting started:
To progress, you collect and sell corn. Starting off, head to the farmland at the bottom of the room and right click to plant some corn! After it grows, right click to pick it up. Then you can sell it at the bin! After a little while, you'll be able to walk over to a gate and right click to unlock it. You'll find something new in each room, including a special tool at the one above the start room!
Warning: We didn't have time to properly play-test the game, so all the prices were guesses. This game is probably way too slow in it's current state 😕
