-GAME-

You are an astronaut who finds himself in a planet where hailstorms and lava rains can happen in any minute.
Keep alive your little plant by watering it and not letting it burn with lava drops.

TIPS!

Player doesnt't take damage.

Lava drops can evaporate the water from your bucket.

Your umbrella will break after several hits.

Your plant doesn't take damage from ice drops.

Keep your bucket equipped if you want to fill it.

Your plant will grow through time.

To fill the bucket simply let ice drops hit you.

-About me-

This is the first time that I participate in Ludum Dare, and in a gamejam. I'm very happy with what I've done in this time, I really like the game and I really hope that you can enjoy it.
Also, I'm hoping to see your comments and critics, I know there's hundreds of improvements that I can put to the game but well, you know, time flies.

I loved the idea of this. It took me two play throughs to get that the game wasn't broken and that I was just not reading the instructions. "A" and "D" will move me around but "W" and "S" won't affect the bucket. After that, I was hooked on this game. Well done!

Seeing the flower grow in stages was a great addition. I had to win to see it full grown!

Overall a pretty good game. A lot of the game's mechanics were not super easy to figure out though, and without reading the tips on this page I would have been very lost. I just beat the game and I STILL don't fully understand a lot of things. Does having ice hit my bucket fill it or does it just randomly happen? Why won't my umbrella place down sometimes, even though there is no cooldown? This could have all been explained better in the game in my opinion. A lot of the gameplay is just sitting and waiting for things to happen too, which to me isn't super appealing, but it does help build up the environment you're building, which you did pretty well. Good stuff!

I like the visuals and the audio design! It feels relatively polished and although the gameplay is very simple, it still seems to work extremely well, although maybe a bit too short. Otherwise excellent first entry!

The combination of everything in this game goes so well together. It was very satisfying seeing the flower grow. Great game!!!

Cute and simple to understand. I loved the sensation of playing and watching the plant growing. Plus, the art looks very good! It looks overall polish, so its a big YES for a first entry, we had rought times because it was our first time too in Ludum.

Congrats on finishing the Jam! I found the game a little confusing to figure out at first. I couldn't figure it out at first but think its really cool. Reminds me of the Martian( the movie with the astronaut on mars). The art was cool especially the plant animations!

It's always nice to see original works of pixel art graphics. The game concept was kept very simple so that you could complete the game jam on time, so congrats for meeting that goal. The controls worked as expected, but I wasn't able to follow the game intuitively. I felt a little lost along the way, but I am sure if I spent a bit more time, I might have figured it all out. Best of luck in the jam! Keep making games

Enjoyed this very much! One problem for me is difficulty. After 3 minutes of game I do the same easy thing. I think you need to do some difficulty system or make it faster to make problems to player

A lovely little game. You say there is room for improvment but except mure content and maybe a flow that is less linear to protect the plant you have a really solid little game wich is way better than a broken full game. Congrats about that

It was kinda relaxing in a way 🙂 I think the art was really nice, especially the tiles. The audio was cute and calm. I enjoyed it a lot 😁 great entry!

Low-bass nes-like music is cool despite it's short repeated cycle. I like visuals of sky. The game concept is very cool and simple, right for the Ludum Dare scope, really glad that you managed with all the scope and made a complete game. Catching ice dropds was hard but that is the challenge I guess.

Just a crazy (or not?) idea - the plant growing in the form of DNA or a final seed - a DNA chain instead of the gold little sphere. Just to add some mystic details to the story the game plots. :smiley_cat:
