This game was inspired by my personal good boy. Google is a Paratilapia polleni from Madagascar. He doesn't need any special attention, just feed him every once in a while, keep the glass clean - and he should thrive.
This is a virtual-pet as opposed to a 'game'.
Care Instructions
- Google will only eat when he is hungry, and sometimes he isn't quick enough to grab his snack before it hits the ground.
- If the tank gets very dirty, Google may refuse to eat.
Not very "fun" in a traditional sense. But graphics and sound effects are nice! Also liked the level of detail you put in about the fish, you obviously care for the real life one very much!
How did you do all the water effects? They were most impressive. Wishing I could move the camera to see where Google is going off to in the far distance. Lovely virtual pet, would care for :fish:
@alex-mulkerrin Thank you for the kind words! The camera effect is done through a noise image effect shader, and the water caustics are textures applied to regular planes with a very gradual (but consistent) offset. The camera effect blends very nicely with the other elements of the scene, it really helped develop the ambient feeling of being underwater.
When I saw the image of this game I said "I bet this fish is a cichlid." haha! Swimming looks realistic. Now I think why I did not make a game of my Astronotus Ocellatus. :(

The fish animation and the underwater effect are amazing. The camera movement is very realistic in my opinion. I like the general mood of this plaything!

This game is "hypnotic", the mood, visuals, animations, sounds, the few interactions and the fish behavior: all of this give an interesting feeling! I found myself waiting the fish during 1 minute without doing anything (that is very long for a game), I only thought about the fish at this moment. Well done!
Interesting stuff here. The game looks and sounds great, a little slow for my tastes, but I do see the appeal for people who like Tamagotchi like games. Good work.
Man, I just want this as an interactive wallpaper, or playing as I am trying to unwind. I loved the ambiance and the graphics. Very smooth and enjoyable. Overall great submission!
