Excellent entry! The graphics were awfully cute, and the sound design was egg-ceptional, especially considering the restraints of Pico-8. The puzzles were nice, and really I just wanted more mechanics to mess about with. Also, having z be "win", and x be "restart the game haha too bad you just lost all that progress" screwed me over more than a couple of times. Overall, this is a fantastic entry, well done!
This was incredibly solid in so many ways. Nice use of color, sound, theme, humor, all of it. The roosting animation only gave me a few seizures. I also kept accidentally restarting the levels.
@unept@cobear25@bloodyaugust thanks for the feedback. I made it so the X to reset button only works when the Reset message appears (if you get roasted or break an egg.) That should help with accidental resets.
I agree the flashing is a bit extreme, but i wanted the chicken to have a heavy metal moment. I limited it to just 3 seconds, so hopefully that's short enough that no one will have problems.
Great game! I loved the graphics, especially the crazy roosting animation. The fire was cool too. I could see this being a really great game if you had more time to work on it.
Wow!! Despite using pixel art, the game perfectly conveys the frustration of rolling spherical objects (in this case eggs) around. Great little puzzle game, I could see this having a ton of challenge with more complex levels.
@alanxoc3@gal-afik@yeo-niki Thanks for the comments. I will consider adding more obstacles and levels in the future! @mmatt-ugh yeah something about that juxtaposition really works huh.
The art and sound are fantastic. I was caught a little off guard by the sudden blast furnace though, lol! Really nice concept and packaged together so neatly and polished. This is a great example of a pico8 game!
Love the concept. It's really fun. I think a timer would make sense (or have eggs lose life every x seconds). I don't know, it seemed like the game was more interesting when I was rushing. Just waiting and doing everything slowly seemed like a dominant strategy.
@ludipe yeah that's an interesting balance. I wanted to prioritize being careful more than being fast, just to give the game a certain feel. But a timed mode would be fun and definitely add another facet to the gameplay.
Holy smokes, this was fun. It took me about 30 seconds of messing around to figure out the game goal, but once I got it, the absolute joy of sitting on the nest and hearing the jingle... WOW!!! I didn't finish the level with the #-shaped flames (was this the final level?) because frustration was mounting a bit, but what a weird rush of an experience up to that point. Kinda weirdly unforgettable.
This entry has such a spectacular understanding of FUN, and I have massive admiration for such a great focus on game feel and player satisfaction. Kudos!!
I was really unsettled by the flashing at the end of each level. Couldn't continue. Thank you for providing a Linux build though, it is much appreciated.
This was a shockingly amazing game. At first I was like "well this is cute" then I got attacked by flamethrowers. I love the idea, the artwork is amazing, it fits the theme, the audio is amazing. Hats off to you.
Btw, was this on some sort of emulator? What was the pico thing?
Graphics and music are pleasant (except for the level end flashing...), much better than in most pico-8 games I've played. Liked how the eggs could survive crossing the fire.
So extremely stylish! Very polished. I found the actual mechanics rather frustrating (as with another commentator, I gave up on the tic-tac-toe level) but it still felt good to play.
This was so cute! Very nice lowres pixel art, and the music fit very well! The control of the eggs was a bit tricky but I think this contributes to the gameplay. And I liked the sunny side up eggs.. Awsome entry!
I really liked this game! I thought the levels were neat and the mechanics were interesting, but I never found any situation where I needed to roost. Also, I thought the flashing lights were way way to much, so maybe add an option to remove them. Nice game :)
Brillant, it is a great game. It is very fun and the pixel graphic makes it look even better, I would change the flashing lights at the end maybe have a option to remove them or change them to be less bright. Still it is a great polished game.
Good fun and pixel art was lovely. Implementation of the pushing power was neatly done. I found it quite tough by level 4/5 but that could just be me. Maybe some build up on the fire to show its about to appear would make it a bit more forgiving, although because its constant time its not so bad (I'm probably just looking for excuses why I failed so often  )

The style is simple but consistent. The music is and sound is perfect.
I guess I just didn't know what to expect.
Very nice entry, especially for the PICO8.
