Guide

Protect the little green one, but be careful with the high explosives.

Demons are attacking. Keep Yoda alive for as long as possible. Be careful as grenades are plentiful, but bullets are not. If you run out of bullets, well - you just may end up blowing up Yoda along with the bad guys. Collect blue crystals and feed them to the plant to get bullets.

- *W,A,S,D* keys for movement
- *SPACE* to Jump
- *Left mouse* for Rifle
- *Right mouse (two finger touchpad on Mac notebooks)* for grenades

Once you collect 5 or more crystals, you can give them to the flower to obtain more bullets!

This game may work with a gamepad as well (untested).

Tools used:

- Unity 2019.3.10f1
- Behavior Designer + Movement Pack for Enemy AI
- Blender 2.8.1 for modeling, rigging, and animation.
- PixilArt.com for HUD pixel art
- GarageBand for audio recording mouth sound effects.

Some audio was made using sfxr from a previous project. Otherwise all the artwork was made on Friday and Saturday of the jam, and sounds were made by hitting a rubber ball and throwing plastic cups around.

#### Postmortem:
Ultimately attempting a first person shooter was a bit more than I could chew. After setting up all the systems, a much more interesting game could've been made, but there simply was not enough time. The original concept was to kill enemies to water the plant at the center of the castle. Eventually the plant would reach full size and poop out a Yoda. Then, you would have to take care of the Yoda for the rest of the game. There wasn't enough time to do all of this, so the game became defending Yoda from the very beginning.

The flower is simply there for you to exchange crystals for bullets with the dynamic being that grenades are plentiful, but you must run back to the flower (leaving Yoda vulnerable) to exchange crystals for bullets for close range fighting.
