You are a doggo bound to a tree in the woods, while your master is doing buiseness. Controls: WASD
In the best tradition we set the scope too big with entanglement physics on the coding side and smooth running and pose animations on the art side. We will finish it someday! 😄
Great job on the physics. Feels realistic, there is a good pull when reaching the end or when getting the leash tangled. The rain sound mixed with the art makes the whole thing strangely soothing in a way. Nice low poly models too; the dog sitting and then laying down when not moving is a nice touch. It'll be nice to see what you do with this in the future and see how you can expand on this mechanic into a complete game. I did encounter one issue when getting wrapped around the tree and getting entangled. The leash would suddenly flash, turning vertical and become the size of the tree.
I can definitely confirm the soothing feeling that @fc85057 said there was. I had some fun running around the tree and trying to see how far the rope might let me go. And I'd be interested to hear what you had planned with the mechanic, could be an interesting storytelling device.
The good made physics and really amazing animations make the dog so satisfying to control!!! The leash has some bug and I wonder why the dog is magenta. Overall, the game is really promising
My favourite part was spinning around the tree until you were stuck close to it, then if you ran in the right way you could either extend your head a mile into the sky or start doing double team/clone jutsu around the tree :P
Unfortunate not to see it finished, look like some good potential here.
The movement of the dog and the loop around the tree is working well. It's a good base. I'm curious to see what will be the gameplay if you continue working on it.
