On a far away planet, managing your virtual self can be just as hard as on Earth. Even as an octo-alien with many arms, will you be able to stay on top of all your apps AND keep your peace of mind?

CONTROLS

This game only uses mouse (or touch) input, and varies depending on the task you're trying to complete:

- PHOTO EDIT: drag all sliders to the right edge, then click "Upload"
- FEED LIKING: click a post to like it. When all posts are liked, click "Refresh"
- CALLING: click the red/green buttons during an incoming call to hangup/pickup, respectively. Waiting will also hang up
- TEXTING: rapidly click the keyboard image to type. Your message will eventually send

This game was made in 2 days for Ludum Dare 47, by myself and Amanda Hum! Some sounds were recorded/reused, but most of them were downloaded from freesound.org.

This is REALLY good. Short, polished and fun. The texting game made me laugh a bit. The ending was on point too :smile:

Very creative! I will say the button press is a bit finnicky with the tentacle. I kept having trouble clicking! But the game itself is really cool!

The game and the especially the ending put a nice spin on the theme. I wonder, is it possible to reach maximum happiness through the normal game? Like, is there a cap on how high the bar can go during the actual gameplay?

@mlkvr @dranjohn the game is supposed to intentionally end once you complete a certain amount of tasks (at that point the multi-tasking should be quite stressful anyway, haha...)

If you never fail any tasks, fire should kick in at 85 Happiness. So you can consider that score a "perfect" game :)

Awesome game! Graphics are great, sound effects fit in perfectly. I liked how you increased the difficulty. Sometimes I was pretty good managing all the phones. Also enjoyed the conversation like "you know it" or "hahaha" :) when the first phone broke I was like "Oh no! How can I fix it?" Well done :) - and sweet "cat" in the end

Wow. This was fantastic. I know it's early in, but this is definitely my favorite game I've played in the jam so far. Super well polished! Love all of the little details like rotating and adjusting brightness actually having a visual effect.

There's a lot to like here. I enjoyed the fact that the minigames were varied - one was sliding, one was repeated taps, etc. I only wish I could have gotten to 100 (but I guess that would defeat the message). Great stuff and loved the artstyle!

Wow! I was so immersed in your little game, so much fun. This would be a very very good game to play while traveling to school or work or during a lunch break. Very well done!

@alpharock6 we also had a third slider for the photo size originally! Turned out to be too hard for even us!
