An Ore'ible Game
An Ore'ible Game (or as we refer to it internally, &%!*£& Unity Physics!) went through a few different concepts before ending up as it did.
In the end we decided to make it into a level based system where you can unlock the next level using the money you have collected from the deposited ore. As We had made a Truck (that at least would work on a flat surface) which could be used to transfer multiple ore at once and can raise it's container to tip the ore out on the players command. We decided to have some levels that were based on using the truck.
We ended up with four levels, two based on running around as the player, two based on using the truck.
The original concept of the game was to be physics based game along the lines of Totally Reliable Delivery Service in a mine where you would have to collect ore, using various vehicles to get ores in different ways (like launching of ramps to hit stalagmites to break ore off) and then use the money from depositing the ore to unlock more vehicles.
Unfortunately we hit a snag with this idea, and that snag was the Unity Physics Engine.
The big issue we had with it was with the wheel colliders, unfortunately it seems that for us (and for everyone else based on what all the comments about them on the internet) that it is impossible for the vehicles made with the wheel collider to go up any slopes. The wheels just don't get any grip. :face_palm:
As such we had to take what we had managed to make at that point (which was about half way through the jam) and adapt it into something that kind of could be called a "game".
Known Bugs/Issues
* If the player tries to exit the Truck when it has fallen on over with it's right side against the terrain they will fall out of the map * ~~(Web Only) Bad input issues especially with a controller. Looking into this never had it before. Even my old game jam games that recompiled are doing it in their web versions. Firefox doesn't seem to even acknowledge the controller~~ Only my desktop seems to have this problem.
* Not an issue per say, but there is no game over state. Once you get to level 4 there is nothing else after doing it. You can just keep collecting money
Changelog
* V0.0.1 - Initial ReleaseInstructions
Drop ore in the Ore Deposit to earn money to unlock deeper levels in the mine at the Lift Access Terminal. You can use the Truck to move multiple ores at once by throwing the ores in the back of the truck and the truck can then raise it's container and tip the ore out on command.

You powered through the horrors of working with an unfamiliar aspect of an engine and you published your game within time. AND you made me laugh with your title and relate to your story about the development.
You managed to make a game in 3 days. No-one can take this accomplishment away from you. Not even the Unity physics engine. ;)

The dump truck was a cool concept and very satisfyingly to unload a whole bunch of ore at once. A combo mechanic where you get more points for putting ore in in quick succession would have been neat to see and incentivize the truck use a bit more. Congrats on finishing a game!

Hi!
First of all, congratulations to you for the creation of this game, I liked to play it, during my first session of play, until level 3, everything went without problem.
On the other hand, on the second session, level 2, I wanted to catch a blue ball on the bottom left, throw it in the truck but I missed my shot and while trying to take it back, I was ejected on the top left...
Obviously the wonderful collision of Unity hahaha.

This game made me feel like I'm really forklift certified!
Fun mechanics - not sure if you intended it or not, but I had a great time working out strafe jump tech to move as quick as I could through the levels!

It was really cool, and I liked throwing the stones into the baskets like a basketball.
The movement was kind of finicky and not sure if I enjoyed it a whole bunch. I didn't really like how you just stopped after a jump and had to restart your momentum, and also the movement wasn't normalized so you can move faster going directional. That could've been on purpose that part isn't a huge deal. Also the camera angle got a little uncomfortable at times.

Cool! I like how level two motivates the player to use the truck ^^ The controls felt a bit clunky, but I don't know how to do it better. I had fun playing your game  Well done

Wow, this is a very cool game! Cool idea, I like the controls, I like the car, I like everything! And there are a lot of levels too!

Haha nice game name. The truck was cool to play around with and I like its sound effects. well done on pivoting and reworking your idea

I really think this is N ink oreible game

Very chill and pretty fun. I didn't know you had/could use the truck until level 3 but after that I had a good time trying to keep it on track. Nice game!

The gravity is a bit off, for example when you throw the boulders. But you built a fun environment in which to play.
One note on the presentation: maybe you should put the devlog/issues part of your LD down, after the game information, or you should reserve those information for a blog post here. In that way you can make it more immediate for somebody that stops here to understand what the game is about and to want to play it!
Good job.
