You control the anteater tong, click to the target and it will eat the ants in between.
The ants prefer paths with more pheromone;
Gameplay:
PS: I wanted to create a game where the player control the ants behavior trying to avoid the anteater, but the time is very limiting, so i end up with this :sweat_smile:
I'd appreciate any ideas on how to explore this theme better, I think this idea of playing with an ant colony has some potential.
I'll try to improve it in the future, fixing the pathfind (it wasn't working so I workarounded it) and improving the gameplaying.
Also the sound doesn't work on Qt Webengine, so i didn't even tried to make it, maybe i'll do it later.
Hey there :smile: I really like the wonkyness of the game :laughing: I currently came upon Coding Adventure: Ant and Slime Simulations by Sebastian Lague This maybe this will help you explore some new aspects of your idea. Would love to see that in a future game jam mayhabs :thumbsup: Nonetheless, I hope you had an amazing weekend building this game. :wink:
This feels like a prototipe of which you were not sure what direction you want to go to or what the gameloop is supposed to be.
I can click to eat ants (although sometimes the click seems to do nothing), but there is no chalange, incentive or payoff for this game. When you make your next game, these 3 things might be a good guide when figuring out the concept of your game.
