Really nice game! :smile: So much done with so little :stuck_out_tongue: Couple the nail layout with some music sheet and tempo and you would play some serious tunes as long as you would keep the tempo :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Very, very cool. I kept trying to find a rhythm to see if I could hear a song like "hammer time" but, if that is part of the game, I missed it. Lol I live how simple yet engaging and fun this idea and its execution is. I really do wish there was music accompanied with each hit to emphasize the hit and, who knows, maybe a creative player could play a song but going fast, slow, and/or stopping at sections. Great work!
Good job! Feels like a complete and polished game. However, I would change(or add another one as option) layout to be arrow up/down not left/right as it is kinda frustrating at first time.

@jasuse thanks, actually I did left/right arrows on purpose so it's not that easy. Sorry I was frustrating to you. You can also use A/D key or even A and right arrow if you prefer using both hands.
Its simple but addictive. Goes well with the theme. I think if you add different hammers to unlock, more backgrounds and music it could be a great mobile game. :cool:
@eharp Thanks for your feedback! You're right. I didn't explain it anywhere. The combo starts (and continues) when you hit a nail before cartain amount of time passes from the previous hit. I think I set it to 300ms. So if you hit 1 nail per 300ms (or faster) then you build up the combo meter. After exceeding this 300ms time the combo counter resets.
Love this game! It's really addictive and relaxing. And the art and sound is very polished. I'm trying to hit the nails in a rhythm as if I'm beating a drum! : D
Really enjoyed this game, the sounds were so satisfying, especially the large nails. The graphics are well polished for a jam. You've created a simple game that is fun and has a great flow to it. Well done all around.

Actually I didn't vote for anything, and I didn't have any idea for a game until the theme was announced. But you're right that this game would fit perfectly for "You have one tool" :smile:
I tried to look at the theme from different perspectives. The obvious one is word "Deeper" (because nails go deeper when you hit them). The less obvious interpretation is that "Deeper and deeper" phrase contains a *repetition*. So the game is about a *repetitive* action.

Really fun. Feels like a complete product -- similar to all of those piano tiles mobile games, but more thought out.
