Werebear Forest
An online multiplayer game! *A bunch of campers were deep in the woods... But something went terribly wrong! Some of them have suddenly turned into... WEREBEARS. The campers must escape before they get torned to pieces!*

HOW TO PLAY
Go to Sparks.land/?ld48 (browser needs WebGL 2 support + decent graphics card).
Find at least 3 friends to play with you, or ask on our Discord for people to play with.
Choose a name, customize your character and then press Play.
Basic controls:
* WASD to move
* Mouse to look around
* ENTER to chat
You're a Camper: Find a way to escape before the werebears get you!
There are two ways to get out, one involves fixing a broken down car, the other calling for rescue.
Press E to interact with things. Press Space to hide in the bushes.
If you get killed, you turn into a ghost.
You're a Werebear: You'll have to wait 20s at the start before you can move.
Then, run after the campers and use Left Click to attack.
Use Left Shift to sprint. Careful, if you empty your sprint bar, you'll get tired for a little while.
ITEMS:
* Sandwich: Gives you back full health (2).
* Drink: Doesn't do anything (didn't have time to implement).
* All other items: Find a place to use them!
MISC INFO
* The map is procedurally generated, so each game is different.
* We didn't have a sound designer this time around so it's all silent for now, sorry!

Sparks.land will be a giant network of mini-games we've been building over the last 5 months.
All the 3D art in the game was made with our custom tools at https://sparks.land/editor which you can use too!
(The human characters and their clothes are part of the platform so we didn't make those during the 72 hours, but all the other art and the game itself was!)

Great job !
I've been lurking the dev of the platform for quiet some time.
This game show that the platform (sparks.land) is about to make some noise ;)
The game is fun, i think some AI need to be added somehow. (maybe it will be difficult to rate by others ?)
I haven't seen the explanation that there is 2 ways of escape.
Great graphics, surprisingly good FPS (70fps) considering all we see.
If you add proximity audio chat to the game, it can be interesting. (yeah yeah, talking is easy...)

This was fun! Played this with some friends on discord and experienced a few rounds. I don't think the survivors won any of the games... but I can't imagine trying to balance a game like this during the span of a jam.
Would be great if there was a limited view area instead of dependent on browser window size- maybe zooming the werebears visibility down so that hiding could be more effective.
Awesome to see an asymmetrical game with more than one "killer" though, it definitely changes the dynamics compared to others I've seen.

I played it before anything was explained, but I managed to understand pretty much everything. Basically it’s a survival hide and seek where hiders collects resources to build the car that can help them escape.
