Push enemies away to keep your ship's core stable! Made by myself (programming/music/sfx) and cats#7175 (art).

-

HOW TO PLAY

Your goal is to beat all waves of enemies and prevent enemies from getting to the ship's core (in the center of the map) - if they hit the core, your ship's stability will go down (and you lose if it hits 0% stability).

* WASD or Arrows to move.

* Walk into enemies to push them away and hurt them!

* Bombs and coins are dropped randomly by enemies

* F or SPACE to use a bomb - great for killing a lot of nearby enemies at once (available bomb count displayed on the bottom left).

* Use coins to buy turrets from the shop on the bottom right - when you buy a turret, move your mouse over to the area of the map where you'd like to place it, then left click.

* Use coins to buy the "Magnet" upgrade - this automatically grabs nearby coins and bombs so you collect them quicker

That is a fun game! Assets are cute, they make up a coherent universe. Nice music as well. Visual effects look good too! I won after 4 trials, dying on the 10th or 11th wave.

The gameplay kind of reminds me of our submission for the previous jam (Dante's Harvest, you can find it on my profile), but you managed to make it way more balanced than ours :)

Only downside I see is that sometimes the character gets stuck, I don't really understand why. After a second I can move again.

Nice job overall!

Good job making something in java. Cool premise. I think the colliders in general need to be smaller.

Nice and simple (gj with java), hitboxes are kinda janky, and the range of what enemies do isn't super interesting, but the music was chill and Lemon Boy kept me company.

It was fun, I just would have loved to have more smooth movement. Good job all by yourself!

I like the overall composition a lot! The choice of music goes really well with the sketch graphics—almost reminds me of “How My Grandfather Won the War”.

The big problem with the feel is just that the giant invisible hitboxes make it almost impossible to navigate—which gets very frustrating in the later waves, watching enemies that you were anticipating being able to reach quietly smash into the target while your character suddenly refuses to move on the other side.

Other than that, good stuff.

Like everybody already said the hit boxes are a bit way too big, but it's a cool game, i had fun playing it, good job!

Small and slightly naive game. Nice gameplay, but it seems to me that the difficulty grows too fast.
