= Catchbot tournament =

Welcome to the tournament !

The rules : You have to avoid being catch by you opponent. However, he WILL catch eventually ! So try to delay this inevitable faith !

Don't be caught within 10 seconds 3 times in a row or it's GAME OVER

#### 1/ First you'll face you opponent with nothing but your bare drone.
_Your opponent_

Your skills :
- Move your drone with WASD (or ZQSD if you're European ;p )
- Use your DASH ability (Shift Key) to try some dodge (with a short cooldown)
- You can use your EMP bomb (Spacebar) to repel the opponent (with a long cooldown)

#### 2/ After he caught you (and he will) you'll enter build mode.

#### 3/ In build mode you'll be able to add some obstacles and traps to help you not being caught.

#### 4/ repeat !

##### _But beware_ ! If you are caught within 10 seconds 3 times in a row it's GAME OVER !!
So keep an eye on the Death run counter...

Very fun game. Simple idea but works so nicely. That being said I might have broke the game by getting the catchbot to clip out of the map after building up a bunch of speed. I was able to vaguely figure out how the AI worked and used that to manipulate it into building speed indefinitely by either having the catchbot spinning around me or using getting it stuck in an array of gravity wells, and when it eventually made it out it immediately passed through the bottom wall. Adds to the fun in the game, but the game is softlocked unless there is some way to end the run that I have missed or the catchbot eventually makes it through. I have the game running as I write this to check if that will ever happen, but until then.

Great concept with potential! The game is easy to beat, but I had a lot of fun :) Gravity hole is OP! :D

Good game. Interesting idea with some fun mechanism. It was a little hard to control your own vehicle though.

beautiful game! I really love the art style of this game and the color palette. the gameplay is a bit confusing at first but once you get the idea it becomes more of a strategy based experience, I think this game is fun and your team did a good job with it!

@bottled-up-dark-peace it's because I don't think there is an official LD discord server. On google there are more than 1 results that lead to different discord :p
The one you're talking about I here since LD48 it seems (or the rules may be a bit obsoletes)

It's a really good mix up of genres but It took me a few rounds to understand exactly what was going on. The art and sound was great. I felt like the best strategy was to build a trap for the chaser which led the gameplay to devolve into sitting there waiting for the speed to overcome the black hole.

This game is very good looking. The gameplay was fun, but a bit repetitive, I feel like raising the minimum required seconds to get a hit each round would make it harder, as hitting the 10 second minimum is quite easy. But besides that, the graphics were very nice, I enjoyed it!

Great submission! really enjoyed it. I got to run 15 and I didn't feel like I was any closer to losing, not sure if it would have picked up if I kept going? I always seemed to die around the same time.

Amazing submission! I could easily see this in the Play Store (and in my phone). The music, the graphic, the fun gameplay, the many configurations you can attempt with all the fun tools. Insane work!

Great concept! This is one of the most fun games I've played in this jam. I filled the space with a bunch of bumpers and at one point it got stuck and I think it could have gone on forever. Another time, it bounced really hard off a bumper and ended up off screen:

But even with the bugs, the game was a lot of fun. Great job!
