This is impressive for just 72 hours. I think it would've been a bit better for the intro scene and dialogue to be a bit shorter though. The graphics are pleasant and the music really fits, great job!
Haha it really cracked a smile, didn't really know where it was going at first but the plot twist was cool! Reading and mario-ing was hard but thaat's a relashionship haha, was very funny!
Very good all around. Not sure if it was just a glitch, but he tripped over something and just rolled around on the ground instead of standing up. I feel that's a fitting enough ending, glitch or otherwise. Good work!
Okay I did not expect that. Great setup! The music was intent, and I enjoyed the art style.
For the intensity, I wished that I could somehow see her chasing me. I even stopped for a good 30 seconds and nothing happened.
A couple things that I noticed: * The first time I started, I didn't understand that it was side scrolling controls, so as I was trying to change the camera, I moved left and somehow pushed her off the map XD * Later on, pressing the left Alt key seemed to do something really weird to the graphics (soda straw ripping effect) and then put the dialogue back at the beginning of the run. Some kind of reset key??
I couldn't complete the game due to the fact that the character sometimes doesn't jump when I press the Space key. Because of this, the character often just crashes into obstacles. In addition, bushes also often cover obstacles, which makes it even more difficult to make "problematic" jumps. It's pretty annoying). I tried 10 times, but failed. If these nuances are corrected, then I would try again. It's really quite an addictive game)
Wow wow wowwww! I'm not exaggerating that my jaw dropped during the plot twist. I was already planning to score you guys pretty high for Mood, and that pushed it up to a 5. The character portraits for the dialog boxes were really nice.
Only critique I have would be the jump physics. I'm not sure exactly what was off with it, but it didn't feel super responsive. That's literally it though, everything else was wonderful! Nice job! And congrats @stilettomenace for first Ludum Dare!
Very unexpected! This game is very well done. I like the music and camera work, but the jump didn't always feel like it registered. Nicely done overall!
Really didn't expect the surprise. Can't really comment much on graphics and audios because you opt-out (music is LIT :fire: tho). Had quite fun for a couple minutes. Don't really know if this is intended or not, but stepping on bear trap hazard makes me unable to stand up. Pressing movement will only spin my character. Anyways, good work!

Thanks for the game! :)
Yeah, maybe we could have done like a picture-in-picture for the chase view vs seeing ahead of you so you don't trip.
Wow, pushing her off the map sounds like a solid strategy to not die...
yeah, alt was bound to skip a section of the dialog for quicker testing, it likely reverted it back to some other state.

The gameplay is a bit clunky but it was fun to read the dialogues
