Wacky platformer where you play as a jumping car, driving on procedurally generated pieces of floating highway, avoiding hazards and police cars in this endless, zany runner.

Use the arrow keys or A & D to speed up and slow down.
Jump with spacebar or left mouse button. Hold them down to jump farther.
Your beater car takes damage every time you jump or hit obstacles, and when police catch up with you. Your capture is inevitable. Still, just keep driving! Use duct tape to piece your car back together so you can hold onto your freedom just a little bit longer.

All art assets except the fonts created by AmberFallStudio during the jam, and will be available for free on OpenGameArt after the jam ends.

Fonts used:
Upheaval from DaFont.com, Fipps by Pheist.net, and 8-bit arcade by Ansimuz.
All music, sfx, and code was created by Saondberg during the jam, except for the car crash sound which was sampled from YouTube. Link for the video in our itch page.

Really good and fun game. I didn't quite understand the health system at first but I got to grips with it later. The graphics really are great and the game packs some serious oomph!

Ooh yeah! Now this...was FUN! Very arcady style of game play. Music was fitting well for the mood and style. Sounds ware grate too and well balanced. Art style very pixle retro in a grate way. Controls was very responsive. Grate job guys!

Got to love a polished game like this one. Bravo on the assets, I just love the the colours you chose. Jumping on cop cars was really satisfying.

I'm usually really bad at these arcady games and tend to give up easily but hey look at me starting as a noobwaffle, and ending up as an outlaw, what an incredible step up right ?

I've had the chance to play the game at different stages of prototyping/development and I have to say the final build is really awesome!
(I love how you fixed the issues with spikes and replaced them by trafic cones which is more immersive, and when you fall down now there is some road and you don't lose by missing a jump)

the graphics are perfect, the audio is amazing, the humour is great.

Phenomenal entry! I had a lot of fun with this and really enjoyed getting combos (best was 8). My top score was 200 points and 2 minutes. Everything was well polished and felt like a complete experience, which as we all know is hard to do in a jam :sweat_smile: Hope to see more games from you in the future!

THIS was fun. Really dont have anything to point out, music and sound effects worked great, combos, pce, and everything feels polished, only thing i could want is abit more car health, thats it.

Fun: I love these types of arcady endless games. Jumping on the enemy cars was very satisfying.

Innovation: This category is always confusing to rate, but this game is pretty innovative. I don't remember seeing a sidescroller type game like with enemies like the cars so good job!

Theme: It fits well. Not sure what more to say here.

Graphics: The visuals are terrific. The cars, the background, the effects, everything. My only suggestion here would be to add parallax layers for the background.

Audio: It sounded good!

Humor: Love the little quips you added after you died... Noobwaffle :rofl:

Mood: I liked how you had the lamp posts they really added a lot to the mood and the graphics.

Overall: Really good polished game! Not much that I would change.

Really liked the graphics! I was pretty bad at this all around but I got some nice combos one of the times I played. I like the decision to make falling off a damage hit and not a show stopper :thumbsup:

The cops doing wheelies made me laugh. Great stuff xD The game feels really smooth. The tape can be hard to get if you keep smashing cops with jump. I had a lot of fun!

Really polished and fun, love bouncing on the police cars. Sound design, art, and music were all addictive. Really nice take on the endless runner genre, good job!

I was a bit skeptical at first when I read "jumping car platformer", but this might be the most fun LD game I've played so far. Great work! The bouncing on car combo was super satisfying. I think I got 233?

I don't know why but platforming with cars works surprisingly well.

The art style is very nice and clear, the gameplay feels addictive. I got to 200 before the police swarmed me and I drove over spikes :)

The Music and SFX is neat.

This is a great solid entry, definitely top 10 worthy. We play it for hours on end, my son was chuckling all the way through. The audio, aestethics, controls... there is so much polish I'd expect to find this on the google play store ! WELL done !!!!

Simply an amazing entry. The juice this game has is just great! From the sound effects, to the animation, just amazing!

I also really liked the combos that are possible!

Seriously, consider doing a full mobile release!

Overall, just amazing work!

Art is amazing and the movement is nice and crisp. It's really fun to chain together bouncing on cars. I also like how the car can easily survive a hundred foot fall but can't be rear ended a couple times :P.

This was really fun! Really good game, liked the music, art and sound effects, was really satisfying to jump from car to car, had 28x combo max :smile: Also a good idea to land on another platform when you fall, so you won't lost because of falling. Could be also good as a mobile game for sure, great job! :smile:

Very addictive game! Had a lot of fun hunting for the ducttape! Only thing that would make it better is a bigger difficulty curve, the end felt just as difficult as the start.

@kepsert WHAAAAAAT? My jaw just dropped XD oh my gosh. That is outrageous. Well, I'm happy at least to announce to you that in our newer version, the game would not crash because it uses object pooling for the cops and platforms. But woooow! You reached, essentially the end of our jam game XD it wasn't supposed to have an end, but such is the way when we don't pool our objects. Very impressive run!! I wish I had a title to give you for that high a score.
