Well, look no further than the all-encompassing "Jimbert the Senator Commits Tax Fraud", a cutting edge game about avoiding Death and Taxes!

Play as the legendary Jimbert Jimbertson, a man who finds himself as the 101st Senator after a special election despite his zero prior political experience and history of tax evasion! After the election, he finds himself balancing his money, social life, religion, and most importantly the everlooming tax day and his personal death day! He must do whatever he can to delay them, although in the grand scheme there is not much he can do...

A true rags to riches tale! Filled to the brim with hundreds of unique lines of dialogue riddled with spelling errors, all your Senatorial and Tax-avoidance needs will be satisfied!

Due to a bug in godot, in the web build during the stock section button textures do not load correctly. This is fixed in the downloadable version and I am working on a fix.

I think this is the fifth tax fraud based game, I've played for this jam, it was very fun to be corrupt, that was very cool.

The "Pizza Bell Wants You" e-mail has frozen my game twice now, might be a bug...

The idea is really cool, I love it! The art is good, and the humor is amusing.

Pizzabell emails keep ending my runs before i can finish them properly! But other than that, really clever game! Actually laughed at the prayer section and "vitality for my enemies."

I'll give the game another shot now, thanks! Another quick piece of feedback would be to look into a fullscreen button on the web version, the rest of the page can be distracting and ruin the immersion.

Very good and funny writing. Almost every joke hit just right :ok_hand: I loved God being confused when you wish for vitality for your haters when you have low morality!
I didn't really understand how I could have avoid death, thoug.
I think even if it's done as a joke, it has a good educational aspect with how politics is more about your relationship with other politicians and your status than actual politics. Once again, very good writing.

Great job, I had a good time and it kept me entertained for really long! :D

Super cool game. I found a bug though during the stock section on day 3 (or 4 I forget) where there's a button called 'h' and you can't click it so there's no way to progress. Other than that it's a surprisingly deep and polished game.

At first I thought it was whacky enough that Jimbert won as an independent, then I saw it was setup for scathing commentary of the first-past-the-post system :rofl:

I regret to inform you that the mythical h button has returned in the web version, but I still had fun!
