Life's the Wurst

Maybe my favourite looking submission I have played so far. It is a funny looking game. I had fun moving around, but it felt likke it could have done with being a bit more challenging. I only played for 3 minutes so maybe it does get harder, but overall great submission!

This is super funny. I also found it a bit too easy to stay alive. There are some camera clipping issues and the CPU usage is REALLY high considering the size of the game. Your 3d models are excellent and the game world looks great and cartoony. Good job!

Loved the art and aesthetic, being a sausage was fun with the ragdoll, wish there was more to do around the environment, escaping death was fairly easy, at some point I was ready to be eaten xD

I was attempting to get the cutlery to make a sort of safety cage. Gave up on that, but potentially possible. Good work.

I was hiding under the plate when I watched my pal just get nailed in the head with a fork right in front of me. Poor guy. This is my favorite game hands down.

Lmao, the concept for this game is flat out awesome :laughing:

Art style is very pleasing and striking - the wiggle the hot dogs do are awesome, and i love their little screams!

A few things I think need some tweaking:
- Camera is a little too close to the wiener, i think it needs to be zoomed out more
- Gameplay is a little barren, there are only two enemies and i think its pretty easy to survive since the forks/knives are so slow
- The music is just a little too loud/bombastic. At least imo!

I also noticed the jump sound wasn't bound to the jumping mechanic, rather just the press of a spacebar.

This was a great submission overall though. Nice work!

Reading the concept alone makes me giggle already :joy: The game itself is pretty fun. And the feeling is really nice.

My computer doesn't run this level of graphics that well but I still had a pretty great time.

It feels a bit too easy? I could stay alive for quite a time. Maybe add more enemies / have increasing knife/fork rate?

Hey thanks everyone who has played my game and given some feedback! I realize the game starts pretty easy but if you let it go for a bit the enemies spawn at faster and faster rates and the forks and knives fire faster and more accurately as time goes on. That having been said I probably should have sped that process up. Thanks for the feedback.

My main problem with this game was framerate, if you're gonna make an after jam version with improvements -- let me know, I'd check it out!

i think the idea is very promising and fun. this can be extended a few levels and built for mobile loved the wiener action. 2 things thou
- your hat has collision : bad : wich bugs camera
- your hat has collision : good : it gave birth to its own mechanic and i believe it deserves discovery of its service! will make a great gameplay if you can handle it well!

The title alone is 10/10 GOTY. I adore the model of the hungry overlord with the fork and knife and the wriggling hot dog physics were totally cracking me up. I did find some spots I could camp out in and avoid the enemies pretty easily but for me it's all the little details, like the hot dog's spinning propeller hat, that make this game hilariously fun.

Love the premise of the game. My floppy wiener was a survivor!

A funny little game.

This one gave me instant sausage party vibes. Game looks great and both sound effects and animations are super funny. You could improve on the AI of where the utensils get thrown as I was able to just stand on high spots for quite a while before having to move. Awesome entry non the less!

ps: You can remove the .pdb file in Engine\Binaries\Win64 to reduce download sizes significantly :)

I liked the world style and especially the physic based body of the protagonist-wurst, it almost made me laugh :)

The only thing preventing me from fully playing is lack of optimization, I played it with 5-8 fps on my old GPU.
Probably it's because the game was made with the newest UE5.
Anyway, good job!
