Made for LD50 Our ship is under attack! Enemies make holes and throw insults.
Fix holes with planks on the deck.
And don't forget to cheer up seamen with rum from the hold,
because while they have not yet surrendered, enemies shoot more rarely.
Try stay a little bit longer!
WARNING HTML5 version moving with WSAD sometimes randomly not working (but it does with arrows). Do not click with mouse outside the game window, and do not click anywhere until the game is loaded. If it's not working anyway, please use Windows version :c ``` [WSAD] To Move
Hold [E] or [LMB] To Interact
[Enter] To Toggle Pause
[R] To Restart
``` Наш корабль атакован! Враги делают пробоины и бросают оскорбления.
Заделайте пробоины досками на палубе.
И не забудьте подбодрить моряков ромом из трюма,
потому что пока они еще не сдались, враги стреляют реже.
Попробуйте продержаться еще немного! ПРЕДУПРЕЖДЕНИЕ! В HTML5 иногда рандомно не работают инпуты движения по WSAD (но работают стрелки). Попробуйте не нажимать мышкой за окно игры, и до загрузки не нажимайте никуда. Если не работает все равно, остается только попробовать Windows версию :С
Very fun experience. It's interesting that you always have to plan between fixing the holes or cheering up the crew, and the fact that enemies from other ships throw insults at your crew made me laugh a lot :)
This game was an interesting concept however it felt a bit repetitive and I was not having too much fun. I think that a mix in mechanics even slightly with the board vs giving out rum would have helped increase the fun in playing. Also again there really was no reward system for the player making it hard to want to continue playing. Congrats on your first playable game for a game jam, that is a huge win and you should be super proud :D great work!
clean implementation of your idea! i like when i have less ui problems then in certain big publisher games. a bit more features in a future version will certainly help the fun :)
Losing the game when fixing a hole makes the hammering sound play eternally (in the web version). It would be nice to be able to carry more than one thing. There was to much running back and forth. It was fun, but you get overwhelmed far too quickly.
But these are two mechanics from Sea of Thieves =(((
On the other hand, a very cool job was done in a few days, if you continue to work on the project, you will get a good import substitution)
