Build my first ever game with my Buddy @fargred over the weekend. It was a ton of fun and also much harder than expected. The initial scope was a lot bigger (of course) and we ended up cutting out one of the main mechanics but ended up with a (in our humble opinion) fun little game anyways. Lots of lessons learned, we hope you enjoy the harvest and make sure to collect all the wheat! Maybe something happens if you do?

Update to Version 1.1:
- Reduced enemies in first harvest - Made movement keys universal - Adjusted camera bounds at edges to better see incoming enemies
Update to Version 1.2:
- Fixed a bug in the HTML version that prevented players from progression at a certain point. Game now comes with 100% more Harvest Time!
I like the simplicity of the game play. You were able to include the theme as part of the game in a nice way.
I think the audio side can be improved a little bit, maybe to give a better feel when farming. Also camera sometimes doesn't help to much to spot enemies when moving arround.
Maybe the camera could be panned to where you're aiming or where you're moving?
What a fun game. I like that the game has a small storyline to frame it as well.
The goal is immediately obvious, and it's very satisfying to go around picking things up Pacman style. The firing mechanic feels a little bit goofy, but it fits really well with the overall feeling of the game.
I made it into double harvest time and racked up a good score. But double the blue turkeys proved fatal, they cornered me after a while and that was my demise.
Very fun entry, it's's satisfying to just roam around on a patch of wheat and collect them all. The turkeys prove a reasonable challenge too, mostly the blue targeting ones. The voice clips added a lot of style, I liked those. All in all great job on your game!
Game looks quite cute and fun characters! Gameplay is very simple though and gets stale very quickly. Aim system with the fixed crosshair is always a bit clunky. Also suffering from the "weak pistol" problem. You definitely need a much more powerful weapon as a tank! Overall a nice looking game that isn't quite fun enough just yet.
@nyxkn Thank you very much for the thorough feedback and I completely agree with you. As mentioned above, we had to cut out a major game mechanic due to time constraints, which was an upgrade shop were you could buy upgrades and make your tank stronger with the points you earned, giving you better fire rate, larger projectiles, other weapons etc. But as these things go, we had to boil things down to where they are now.
A great game, especially considering it's your first ever! Would be great to have the aim target follow your cursor instead of being fixed a certain distance away from the player. Really enjoyed it :)
@phillip-scott Thank you for making us aware of this. There seems to be an issue with the WebGL version that crashes the game at around 10200 points. I will try to fix this tonight, in the meantime please use the standalone version.

@phillip-scott The bug is fixed, game should not crash anymore. Its also embedded directly on the site now as well. Let me know how high you can score ;)
So cute! I really like this, the colour coordination for different enemy types was super useful and when everything went double it was so fun. I like the tank and plane graphics and the wheat works well even if its more simple, its still nice to look at. Great game well done :)
If anyone asks the definition of "innovation" I'll just send them this game. It is a game called "TanksGiving" you control a tank that harvests yield and shoots airplanes down. It is by far the most unique idea and my favorite so far, just amazing. The implementation is also very good, the controls are smooth and everything works fine. Well done!
Cute little game, good for a coffee break. I'd say it would require upgrades and more additional features, but the base is solid and the loop feels good. Besides that graphics were decent and pleasant to look at! I'd love an stronger effect when you lose an life though, so I'd notice. Difficulty could be ramped up at start a bit too perhaps as before the double it was too easy to just even evade the turkeys without any shooting going on. The audio while looping still felt quite good to the ears
A fun lil game! I enjoyed the difficulty ramp up, and as you've said above, that Upgrade shop would have been really cool for this game (was gonna be my main feedback but I read that was planned!) Overall I had a fun time! :)
Great entry, I really liked the voice acting and the background was really pleasant. The game starts off quite slow and eases you into it. When the double everything part starts that's when things get a bit challenging. especially with the blue targeting turkeys. Had fun playing the game, good job!
I got 20575 harvest points. Died some time after the "double everything" kicked in. Simple, fun and funny game. If I were to change something, I'd make the tank run a bit faster. Also, make proper animations for the tank and maybe one-two more types of enemies. But it's just me complaining -- the game is good, so don't worry. :D
