Bomb Express

This is so cool conceptually. One of my favorite parts of the game is considering how I am going to move the house to the present, great use of physics here. The graphical polish is great, I love watching the debris from the bomb coat the level while sending entire buildings across the level. About the only thing I think is missing is some sound, (couldn't hear any on HTML5), but the music is more than adequate and gives the game an upbeat vibe. You've got a great entry here. :thumbsup:

What an amazing and fun game! Such a unique and easy to pick up mechanic! I found the strategy of spamming a lot of little bombs and then watching for chaos to deliver the package to be not the most cost effective, but the most fun for sure.
Small suggestion is to make soundtrack like a global object, so it's not gettings reseted every time you restart or open new level.

A very nice idea! Lovely art as well. In some levels I didn't understand how I could pass them, so I ended up just spamming new bombs, which worked like 50% of the time. Maybe a more gradual level progression would be nice, so that the player slowly learns how to use the bombs mechanic to solve various puzzles.

Levels 9 and 10 are impossible for me to do, but it was very cool to see shooting everywhere :)

@mavvy I'm happy you like it ^^! And indeed, I did't have enough time to create ideal VFXs so there is only background music. (I was busy on academic stuffs and I did't make up my mind to participate LD53 until the second day)

@lisyarus Yeah the design of those levels are not soild enough. Therefore it feels more like a relaxing bomb game than a physic puzzle game.

Actually there are some advanced techniques such as drawing a cannon to launch forward the second bomb. You can briefly control the direction by drawing different shapes. (This is the designed technique for some hard levels). Spamming bombs is indeed a practical strategy, but the result is far more chaotic XD.

The minimal version of this cannon technique requires only 2 bombs. Just watching the bomb fuse to burn and put down the second bomb at a right timing. (The keypoint is that you can never boost an existing bomb since they explode earlier than new ones)

I was planning to added more bomb types and tutorial levels, as well as online leader boards. But I didn't have time to implement those stuffs.

@moebiusmeow Yeah, I figured the two bombs technique, but I guess I failed to master it - in some levels the second bomb never went the way I wanted it to :)

I love this game, my favorite of the submissions I've played so far. I wish there were some explosion/placing sound effects, but otherwise this game is perfect. It's funny, art is clean, pleasant, and consistent, and I mean c'mon, I can draw arbitrarily shaped bombs -- amazing.

Also I love levels 9 & 10 (not sure if this is how they were supposed to be done)

Really cool game! The concept was really clever, the physics felt good, and the art was great. I wasn't really picking up any good strategies so the most effective strategy for me was to just spam haha. I made it to level 9 before my spamming skills were ineffective. Great work!

@ollie-d Thanks! And for the level 9 & 10, yes indeed, this is what that pit for. The "proper" way to solve these 2 levels is bomb boosting but it can be quite challenging to control. Instead, I left this pit on the ceiling and those who notices it would find an "Aha moment".

Could not figure out the last level but mechanics are really cool, so far I loved it !

Insanely good game with fun challenge! maybe the bomb could use a sound effect or something similar to indicate when to time the next bomb, also building big bombs in the menu is very fun

Quite a relaxing game blowing things up, although some of the levels are quite difficult.

Great little game! I really like the idea of delivering packages with bombs :D ! The atmosphere is calm, and it makes you scratch your head a bit to figure out how to deliver the packages! Congratulations on this game.

Really fun. Quite addicting gameplay. Sometime when desperation set in it's nice to just spam a ton of bombs to see if that somehow made the situation better :)

This is wonderfully chaotic and innovative! I love the background music too and the little cat shape cloud for added fun detail.

This game is a lot of fun. I liked pretty much about it. The graphics are cute, the music is cheerful, and the idea is very interesting.
