Welcome to the world of "Delivery Drive", a game where you become a real local hero! However, as with every hero, you immediately had a problem - you lost the map of the city on your first day of work... But don't worry, you're in for a real adventure-a trip through all the neighborhoods in search of the right addresses!

And do not forget about the most important thing - the speed and safety on the road! Your task is to maneuver the car, delivering packages to local residents. But be careful! Residents of the town do not want to see your car hanging from a tree, crashed into someone's yard or get into an accident with other cars. Remember, your goal is to deliver packages, not to destroy the city's infrastructure.

The game allows you to choose the level of difficulty that is right for you. From complete freedom, where you can drive and deliver packages as much as you want, to strict time and health restrictions. So get behind the wheel, set yourself up for adventure, and set out to deliver parcels around town!

The game feels and looks a lot like Minicraft made by Notch which is nice. One minor issue I found when starting off was when I walk into a pink flower the icon of the flower shows the background of the flower image. I tested this same issue with the other stuff like the trees and that issue doesn't happen. Other than that minor graphical issue good work!

Hey, I was a bit in a rush and couldn't play too much but here a tiny bit of feedback:

* Pretty cool you implemented such an open world with lots of details!
* It would have been easier to remember if the same key was used to enter and exit :)
* Car is a bit too sensitive: so easy to hit the side of the road

I really enjoyed playing “Delivery Drive” on Game Jam! The game is challenging yet fun, and it really makes you feel like a local hero delivering packages around town. The different levels of difficulty allow you to customize the game to your liking, and the graphics and gameplay are both impressive.

Enjoyable game, I like the fact you can get in and out of the car, my only feedback would be that the turning circle of the car isn't tight enough to do a 3 point turn on the road, if you end up going to the wrong way, it's quite time consuming / difficult to turn around.

but need to work it out..
for the controller need to describe it well so its not confuse.. because hard to control.

I like the combination of being able to walk on foot and drive. The car steering right/left felt a bit stiff but other than that a great game.

Nice game. It lack of challenge or story. I made all by walking because car was hard to control.
Perhaps some peace of story each time you put a letter in the box, with a twist at the end would help.
Other that that, nice graphics.
Keep it up.

I think you should have a sort of "safe zone" for parking so that you can actually park the car without another car trying to steal it away.

Nice game, I enjoyed all of the pixel graphics! Agreed about the stiff steering, but otherwise a nice relaxing play (so long as you're very careful and go slowly).

Hey, we used Godot too! I love the old school vibe of this game. Also, I loved that I could stand in front of a car and get a speed boost. I wish my car had a better turn radius. I crashed... A lot....

I recognize the little guy from my game. You have a pretty big map, well done for all of the work making the map. I have no real advice, you did a great job. 2D TileMaps are great fun!

Considering the time limit this is an impressive entry with both, walking and driving around. That said, the driving part could use some polishing: it's really hard to turn around on a street since the turning radius of the car is so large. You also get damaged super easily when you can't touch the curbs even a little bit. I also found it hard to find a good parking spot since the other cars would ram my parked car and cause me to lose. :sweat_smile:

I also with I could run diagonally when moving on foot.

Overall, it's still a very good entry!

I really think the best thing you did was add difficulty options, and that's something I feel like doesn't get added to these games because of the time limit.

Something about the car crashing sound effect combined with the difficult driving mechanics was kinda hilarious

The gameplay was very simple but surprisingly fun! Trying to avoid damaging my car, making tight 3 point turns, trying to park as close to the sidewalk as possible while also racing to deliver the letters in time was a hectic and engaging experience

Great little game ! I liked the sound of cars driving by, and the general mood.
The only issue I found is, when getting into the car, the zoom is too high, so the car and everything else become very small.
Also, when you're away from your car, you still hear the smashing all the time;
Other than that, I really liked the game.

I like the idea of this game. The requirement to quickly jump in and out of the car is quite unique and adds a little extra thinking about where you should park. The handling of the car is unfortunately not as satisfying as it needs to be, making it hard to even get round corners - this paired with randomly teleporting cars and a horrific sound really take a lot of the fun away. I also think there might be some kind of resolution scaling bug as all of the menus appeared small and there was a big black area round the side of the map (I'm playing on a 4k screen).

Overall I think this game had a lot of potential, just needs a bit more polish and some tweaking of the difficulty.

I like the game I feel like the driving could be a little tighter, I crashed quite often which caused the loud crash noises to play often so I ended up having to take off my headphones, but the concept is incredible and I know from experience that top down 2d driving only gets so perfect so I don't knock the hustle

So I decided to deliver the letters on foot and leave the car, since I kept dying (I'm playing on the hard difficulty). It's do-able, but definitely takes a lot more time 😅. Great game!

I found the car was too delicate to get around safely and decided to deliver every letter by running. I still had a hard time finding all of the mailboxes which were well-distributed throughout the map. I enjoyed running through the townscape.

Had fun driving around and delivering letters.

Reminded me of old GTA when driving, but that's about it. Otherwise the feel was different and unique to some extent.

I missed diagonal walking, but apart from that it was quite polished experience.

I think I would've loved this had I been able to do a bit more off-roading. The curbs were so sensitive, but I just wanted to go crazy. Nice art style and concept.

Very nice graphics. I did have a little trouble driving the car, though, so I ended up delivering a lot of the letters on foot.
