"The Other Shore" is a resource management game set in the 16th century. In the game, players take on the role of a captain of a cargo ship caught in a violent storm. With limited resources, players must plan their route and manage the work of their crew. Additionally, unexpected events that occur daily will test the player's ability to handle them, all while an unknown entity has set their sights on the player.

The story

As the captain of the Remix, you accepted a commission from a wealthy merchant to transport valuable cargo. You and your crew set sail to deliver the goods and earn a large sum of money upon completion. However, unexpected events can occur at sea, and on your journey, you encountered a violent storm. The storm blew away most of the survival supplies on the ship, but luckily, the priceless treasure was not lost. In this extreme situation, the crew's mental strength was put to the test, and the treacherous ocean seemed to have a will of its own. Can you successfully reach the other shore and deliver the cargo despite these challenges?

Gameplay

The game is operated by clicking the mouse. It consists of 10 rounds, and each round starts with route planning, where you select nodes on the map and confirm the navigation route. Different types of nodes will trigger different types of events, and you need to make wise choices to obtain resources.

After route planning, you need to assign crew members to work. Different job positions correspond to different resource outputs, and each crew member has their own profession that brings different bonuses.

During specific stages of the game, unexpected events may occur randomly and affect various resources based on random judgment.

In the second half of each round, you need to allocate food to adjust the crew members' states while also meeting the demands of "special" cargo. Can you successfully pass these 10 days and reach the other side?

P.S.

Hello everyone, this is Remix - a community formed by game creators. First of all, thank you very much for downloading and playing our game. We apologize for only being able to provide a Chinese version due to time constraints, and we were unable to cater to the experience of friends in English-speaking regions. The theme of this jam was not very friendly to us, and it wasn't until the evening of the first day that we determined a basic direction. On the one hand, the theme was too easy for us to associate with Death Stranding, and our creative ideas were not very sufficient. On the other hand, this was also the first time that our team collaborated, so we still needed to get used to communicating with each other. Despite the challenging project management and high-density content design, we still managed to submit our work successfully in the last half hour. It was truly exciting (although unfortunately, the numerical experience design is very poor at the moment, and there was no time for tuning). Finally, I want to thank my teammates and hope that we can encourage each other to progress together. We also hope that all developers have a happy time playing, and we'll see you next time!
