A Ludum Dare 54 Game by Primed Pixel -- https://primedpixel.co.uk -- for the theme "Limited Space". Please download a copy (Linux) or use itch.io for HTML5 (Windows + Linux)!

Godot's documentation says HTML5 exports won't work on Mac, but I haven't been able to test this due to not owning a Mac, apologies!

Very Creative Lore

You've explored far and deep into the depths, but now you must escape!
The cave is about to collapse, and there isn't much time or space left!

Controls

- Use WASD or ARROW KEYS to move
- SPACE to jump.
- Ladders can be grabbed by pressing up.

Endlessly platform quickly through as many screens as possible before the timer runs out!

Loved the game. The gameplay, though simple, never managed to get boring or repetitive. The one-bit graphics alongside the banger soundtrack are however the main focus, I find. I do wonder how the theme is exactly suppose to relate to the gameplay ( maybe the shadow behind the player was meant to mean limited view space? ). But nonetheless, the game managed to be above all: really fun!

Good game, I just feel the wall/ceiling coming should start appering more slowly, because when it appears there is no much more time to do anything

Loved the game. I liked how dying didn't mean I had to restart from the same place but continue from where I died. The one-bit graphics is simple for very effective and the soundtrack is great too.

Really enjoyable, quite liked the idea that it was never ending but would've liked more levels. liked the audio aswell!

Played it for a bit. Very hard to jump from ladders, otherwise quite fun! Is there an ending?

Really liked the black and white style. The sound of the screen movement is THICK lol. I did had a rough time with jumps form the ladder. Cute game

Cool game! I recognize the shadow light from construct, glad to see another game using it :)

Super fun game and cool main loop! I liked the score-attack style and the screen-sized levels. The platforming feels good.

Really cool game idea! Combining endless-runner type gameplay with platforming is a great idea. :) The ladders were a little awkward to jump off of sometimes, that ended most of my runs.

@joymagine I can confirm that all the levels are indeed possible, albeit I left a few admittedly sadistic jumps in a couple :)

@spooncats ladders are definitely something that I would've liked to improve; even just a few modifications could have really helped, I feel. Thanks for playing!

Cool game. Jumping off ladders was kind of tough for some rooms. I also didn't notice that it's endless for like 5 minutes, I wondered why I kept seeing the same rooms lol

Good job!

Really cool! strange/cool visual effect with the "shadow" behind the character. Good balance of fun/challenge. Nice work!

Great game! I really appreciate that the whole game doesn't start all over when the player dies and the level and timer counter are a nice incentive for highscoring. I think the walls collapsing effect could be a bit slower, as it's hard to recover when it's about to start. I also had some room transition that directly lead into a pit, which felt a bit unfair.
