Duel With Death

Heyo,

This is my whimsical game for Ludum Dare 54. I had originally plan to submit the game for the Jam, but due to obligations I couldn't make the deadline for it. The idea for the game was inspired by a Smash session with friends where someone got caught in the middle of a 3-player FFA on an Omega stage, between two projectile characters, with their reaction being "Do I ever get to play?". It sparked this idea of a game where the player gets obliterated by the game and has to survive all the obstacles.

This is my first solo game as a Game Designer. I spent the majority of my time developing the hazard mechanics and the system to spawn them at specific time intervals, and balancing it. UI took up more time than I wanted to, but since the Jam deadline had passed I didn't mind completing it.

General Description:
Death himself has knocked on your door, and you're not ready to answer. Dodge ground poison blasts, drone rocket rockets, outsmart ninjas and exploding enemies, in this fast-paced explosive dance of survival. Will you endure Death's relentless assault or succumb to his wrath? Every second counts, and every move is a step closer to your survival against Death!

How does the theme come into play?: You'll wish your space wasn't so limited when you play.

How to Play:
- Movement: Use W A S D or arrow keys to move your robot.
- Objective: Evade all hazards and challenges thrown your way.
- End Goal: Survive Death's relentless onslaught for a full 5 minutes to win.

*The game is beatable, it's just on the difficult side.*

Note about assets: I am not an artist or sound designer, so all of my assets are sourced from free and purchased assets I have from the Unreal Engine market place. I designed the level, mechanic, systems, and scripted the entire game myself. If you have any questions about specific art or sound assets, please let me know.
