Our submission for Ludum Dare 54, is a top down bullet hell arcade shooter. You play as a cowboy hat that has had too much peyote! Now the prairie dogs have guns, the snakes spit venom and the enemies are trying to keep you from your booze. Use your six shooters to kill the pesky invaders and get more "rounds" of drinks at the bar (Upgrades!). Rack up a bar tab! Look out though the bartender doesn't like it when you destroy his property.
Use W A S D or the arrow keys to move, mouse to aim and hold left click to shoot.

We would have liked to have added more weapons and secondary weapons (shotgun, rifle, Dynamite, Molotov cocktail) but we ran out of time.
Adding more enemies and a dialogue system were next steps as well.

I had fun with this one! I really like all the physics-based objects in the environment that get knocked around during shootouts. The enemy spawn pacing and positions are designed well, and the upgrades after each level feel substantial and fun. Impressive work on the original music, too - it fits perfectly with the art style and action!

Thank you all for playing! Glad you enjoyed it. Level 11 plus gets ridiculous. We were hoping to add more weapons for the player to use.

I love top down games, so I'm a bit biased. Really enjoyed this game. :)

Had a lot of fun, reached level 13. I did feel like the upgrades were lacking in feel. Mainly the movement speed upgrade felt like it didn't make me faster anymore

Good old fashioned twin stick action! Good looking and polished as well. Got killed in level 13, around which things get difficult real fast. Maybe the upgrades could be stronger so you actually have a chance in the higher levels.

lots of fun! Bullets becoming less accurate the further they travel could add some dimension to the gameplay! the sound effects sounded really good!

Straightforward and fun! I got to level 13, the difficulty seemed to spike really hard around levels 10-11 or so, also I got hurt by the green puddles a few times between rounds, which was really annoying.

This was a fun game, I made it to round 13. The enemy coloring made them difficult to see at times, especially when they're only in your peripheral vision since you need to focus on dodging bullets.

Fun for a short time. the idea is good, but in each new level it seemed to change very little. The enemies appear in the middle of the screen, I think it would be more realistic if they entered through doors scattered around the room. It could have other weapons such as a shotgun. But I know, it's a short time for that. But it was nice to kill a little

I really loved the graphics. It was fun. I just got scared because the menu music started playing too loud. But overall I really like it. Keep it up.
