Roblox - Top Down LD54
I wish I had more time. I planned on making enemies that shot at you and for you to shoot at them as well. Also, I wanted the round to "shrink", but life was all up in my mojo and I barely had time to work on this. This is my very first submission and I'm glad that I was able to submit something at all :)
The source code is available on Roblox.com. You just have to right click the game and choose "edit" and it should load up into Studio.

Pros:
* Visuals were pretty; I especially found exploding on death to be a funny choice
* Gameplay loop felt pretty engaging; a lot of the situations that I got into involved some clever thinking to get around the obstacles.
Cons:
* I feel as though the game could've used a progression system of some kind; maybe every point you get without dying speeds your character up, and dying resets your score?
* I think removing the ability to move up / down and causing the player to move at a fixed speed would pose more of a challenge.
* Holding down W and A when respawning seems to pretty consistently separate me from the ship, allowing the player to walk around without it.
- Start from very easy level with slow motion or small amount of parts
- Progress via increasing speed and amount of obstacles
- Maybe some bonuses to help completing level (shield, slow motion etc)
