Super Wraparound

A little bit hard for me (probably a "me" problem!) but a good mechanic, nice work :)

Very simple and a little addictive game, not bad)

Small warning for people that plays on browser, the game takes some time to load with a grey screen, you just have to wait for a while it will load after some time!
The score multiplier adds a nice feel to the game, I would have loved a little bit of inertia on the controller, and maybe a smaller hitbox?
The screenwrapping feels always nice, I would also have enjoyed it if there was a way to make bullets screenwrap as well!
One small issue i have is that on the web exports (tried itch and ld), the lines delimiting the enemies and character are a bit too thin, which makes visibility a bit confusing!

I think the enemy behaviour only being to move towards the player at the same pace limits the fun for me. You want to kite them but the shooting mechanic doesn't allow for that which is fine by itself but then they spawn in from the sides and you never really get into a flow.

The collision with enemies when wrapping around the screen borders did not work in the way I expected. Not a terribly important detail though. Nice minimalist design and execution, well done :)

Well done, your game inspires me a lot, but it's a bit too hard for now, the colliding bodies are too big and not being able to control the orientation adds to the difficulty. I feel like it's still a good difficulty curve still if it gives me a skill after reaching 100 points. By the way, the scoring system is very innovative and attracts me not to waste every bullet, ahahahahaha

it's pretty addicting at first, cause you can retry it fairly seamlessly, but becomes slightly frustrating after restarting 30 times, maybe a slightly shallower difficulty curve would be fitting.

An interesting concept. I found it starts out very hard and doesn't give you much time to get used to the mechanics. There are so many large enemies that they quickly overwhelm you because your shooting is hard to control. The web player is also very small and I couldn't figure out how to full screen, so that made it hard to see what was going on. I think it could be a neat arena battler though if you continued to improve it.

Very cool game mechanics here! The small touches add a lot, like the impact frame when enemies get hit and the zoom when you die. The music and sounds are minimalist but effective and soothing. I really like how the multiplier is based on consecutive shots and not kills in a specific time period; that makes the aiming feel so much more crucial and really plays into the wraparound concept. Great work!

Cant believe i actually manage to beat it. It was a tough 10 minutes :) I think it's a little unfair that enemies can spawn next to you or even inside. Also i noticed that bullets not detect collision on hit, but when bullet are already inside enemy, i died a few times because of that few frames, when i thinked enemy is gonna die sooner. Other than that it's a fun little arcade, which need more polishing

Neat premise, but could use some safety balances- dying to an enemy spawning on me as I wraparound doesn't feel good lol.

Really tough for me but I'm usually bad at these games. I echo what others have said in hoping for a way to have bullets wrap around. I feel not being able to shoot when wrapping or running into enemies as they spawn really disincentivized wrapping around in general. Other than that it was pretty fun. Good job!

Really proud of my high score of 10. Deceptively difficult but looks simple enough that you think you can beat it if you try just one.more.time. Really nice, well done.
