The Abyssal Express
The story begins at the Bucharest railway station as Alexei Petrov prepares his old locomotive for a long journey to London. A passenger, Mr Thorne, dressed in antiquated clothing, wearing dark glasses, and carrying a paper-wrapped parcel, boards the train.
"Can you store this somewhere safe? I don't want to lose it."
The story follows the train conductor Alexei, who tries to understand the meaning of the Artefact brought on board by Mr Thorne.
Mr Throne, a cult leader, is trying to activate the dormant Artefact before the train reaches London, in order to awaken the Great Ones. The Locomotive, itself a conduit, hides a secret unbeknownst to Alexei.
Alexei must uncover the mystery behind his old locomotive and the Artefact to stop the Ritual.
