Bugs change log:
1.0 - Infinite death; Ice mage projectiles invisible; Slime spawning inside the wall making it impossible to kill, Ice mage nerfed.
1.0.1 - Slime nerfed (somehow) and not able to walk on spikes anymore.
1.1 - Ice mage nerfed (again), Level 9 was too hard so we made it easier (staircase wasn't working), critical hit chance for the player (you'll never know) and now you're able to properly finish the game!
1.3 - Fixed the bug where the music stopped playing after level 2;
1.4 - Added the music for the ending which we totally did not forget about
1.5 - Added wall collision for enemy projectiles; Tweaked the required score to progress through each level for better pace; Added the option to press ESC to return to menu; Fixed enemies spawning too close to the player. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Love the graphics!! The window size made reading the text a little difficult, but I got used to it after that. The bg music cut out during the second or third room and didn't come back on, which was a shame since I was enjoying it (not sure if that's just an issue with my computer tho). The gameplay is solid and makes for a fun dungeon crawler, nice work!
Very nice! Extremely polished graphics, quite a few levels, and smooth feeling combat. I noticed the music cut out for one level, and once i found that i could just hold down the fire button and learn exactly where the enemies spawned, the game got very easy (on the final level, I just stood in the top corner constantly firing down so that any enemy spawning on the right would be instantly killed, and I would have enough time to move my cursor to kill enemies on the left, so I didn't even need to move). But overall, very impressive!
Lovely little game! Played it with my daughter and she loved the player and the projectiles the most. Possibly couldve done more around the theme, but I appreciate the hard work you've put in especially around the art and cutscenes, well done!
I totally clicked on the game because I knew that the girl would be named yuri, yes yes.
Some rooms, especially the later ones just felt really tedious to play. They weren't hard or anything, the problem was just the amount of time one has to wait for the next guy to spawn. The last room had like 35 enemies, that's just too many imho.
Enjoyed the early rooms quite a bit, neat little game!
The art style is very cute and the controls feel good. But for me it feels a bit unfair that enemies can shoot through walls while you can't, making it impossible to take cover. Great entry nonetheless.
Coherent and cute art! The shooting gameplay is nice and fluent for me but the detection of spike is a bit strange for me as I expect it to hurt only the feet part. Nice game and nice atmosphere in total!
enjoyed playing it. loved the art, music and the ability to cancel bullets with bullets. I wished the bullets were blocked by the small obstacles like stones aswell not just the player. Which in-turn will act as the shield but yah i see the player is given more HP as level progressed. And at the end, I rescued the lady with the orange hair who was sleeping 😈
Played to the end and had fun! I thought surviving was a bit too easy (I wouldn't have minded being forced to restart the final dungeon, since mostly I was just standing there catching bullets). I think it would also be nice to have a sort of final boss. But with the time you had I think you made a very nice game! My favorite part was the cute pixel animation as you wait for the next room to load.
Sadly I crashed pretty far in (or so I think). Love that you managed to make so many different enemies! I think some easy tweaks that may help with balancing is making it so you cant shoot the enemy bullets and also having the rocks block your bullets. It would promote more moving and dodging vs standing still and just spamming down the enemies across the map. Otherwise great stuff!
I enjoyed this game quite a bit. The pixel art looks quite nice and has a cute aesthetic. The combat was fun but could've been more challenging. I found having spike traps, obstacles, and differing level layouts for space reduction was rather clever as I was just expecting the arenas to shrink. I really dug the classic RPG-esque soundtrack. If this ever gets worked on further, it'd be great to see an endless mode.

Dunno if its intentional that enemy projectiles can pass through walls while yours cannot, but that was really the only gripe I had playing through it
one thing I wish was added was a way to see how long until the door opens, whether that be a wave bar or num of enemies left on the floor haha!
overall really fun game and good job!

And the music is great... I liked how in the first levels, when I won, the game muted... but then it went wrong and this function stopped working :(
great entry
