There you were, reading your favourite book at the library, when an unreasonable naysayer approached you to tell you how wrong you are to like that genre. These kind of arguments might stand on the internet, but not in a place as sacred as the library! You must defend against such baseless attacks!

Choose a book and flick through its pages to find characters to summon. They'll charge ahead at your opponent and do battle with their characters until one of you comes out on top. Truly, this is the only way to determine which genre is superior.

How Do I Play?

You need to get 20 of your summoned characters past your opponent to lower their health. If one of your summons reaches the far end, they will return to your hand to be summoned again. You cannot directly do damage to the opponent, and you cannot have damage directly done to you.

Some thoughts from the team

Originally we thought of making a game about summoning demons by collecting pages from a book, but when we realised we could be pitting characters from romance novels against those from fantasy novels? We found an idea that we fell in love with. In terms of actually executing on it though, we haven't made this kind of game before, so were hoping that it would all come together in the end into a cohesive game experience. Things didn't quite turn out as planned, but there's still a lot we're really happy with, and hope you can share some of joy we have experienced from this silly little game.
