Revenge of Lord Chicken
It is your duty, your fate to protect the "acolyteggs" in their sacrifice to summon the Supreme Chicken. Unveil your magic spells, stop the miscreant chickens and bring their feathered majesty to earth.
Controls:
Use WASD to move and mouse to target.
Use left click to shoot magic eggs.
Your main goal is to protect the acolyteggs from the nest to the sacrifice circle.
Once the 5 circles are satiated with enough souls the ritual will be completed.

Some sound as well an explosion or animation when you destroy enemies would go a long way towards making it more satisfying.
I'm not sure if it was intended or not, but I found that if I put an egg on my head and moved left or right, it would move the egg much faster towards the portal - if it was a glitch, it'd be fun to have as a feature, it was nice to be able to speed eggs to the portal when there were no chickens to kill
A criticism I have is the lack of health indicator for the player, considering running out of health is the lose condition. Also, I figured that losing a certain number of “acolyteggs” or the eggs that spawn them would be a lose condition, but it wasn’t. This could make the game more challenging but also fun if the enemy spawning is balanced correctly. I also think that a spawn indicator for the enemies would be appreciated.
But overall, the game is pretty solid and can be even better with some sound, and changes to enemy spawning and lose conditions could make the game more interesting and fun. Good work!
The spawn rate of enemies wasn't low... they just... spawned outside the map :joy:

We have some more features that didn't make it time that we plan to add!
As an idea to make it more interesting, have the eggs not all go to one circle, but spread to all cicles at the same time. You'd have to run back and forth to defend the eggs.
Also, I think more enemies and more weapons are always better.
Super cute pixel art and smooth gameplay.
Things that woukld immediately improve this game in my opinion:
- Some cool super-mega chicken summon animation when you win the game
- A bit more challenging spawn rate of enemies
- Player health bar
- maybe a score in the end that represents how many of your acolyteggs survived
cool short game with neat pixel graphics. The gameplay is there and it plays smooth. I think some scoring and nice animation at the end would have been super sweet. So you are more intrigued to try again and beat the score. (Can few eggs can die) and some nice fitting chicken sound and up beat music. (Or was it just me without sound?)
