Mr. Duck

PRESS PLAY. MR. DUCK DOES THE REST.
Mr. Duck jumps. Always. On his own. Whether you like it or not.
You can't make him jump — but you own the remote.
Hit PLAY and the world rolls forward like an old VHS tape.
Hit PAUSE and everything freezes... except Mr. Duck, still hopping in place.
Hold REWIND or FAST FORWARD to scrub the tape back and forth.
Time the tape so his jumps land right. Get him to the end of the street without hitting an obstacle or falling into a pit.

Reminded me of Crankin's Time Travel Adventure a bit ;)
The core mechanic is a clever way to play with the theme.
That said, everything is really well done! The visuals, sound, style... The overall production quality is great!
Thanks for playing! We love making it, and we'll continue improving it, so keep an eye on the itch.io page for future updates!
the pause, rewind and fast forward don't all feel equally useful. It seems like the best way to play is to toggle pause most of the time, and rewind if you get in a bad spot, and you can pretty much just play infinitely. Unfortunately this way of playing isn't super compelling from a gameplay perspective, so it makes the twist feel like it's making the game less fun rather than more fun.
Still, a well polished and interesting concept that deserves more investigation, well done!
Love the concept of controlling the speed than just the jump and the style of the duck.
I absolutely love the aesthetic you've built here. Amazing art direction with stellar assets, and the gameplay is not something I've ever seen before. Really really cool stuff!!
(Now if only I were any good at this game....)
I like the challenge, although I really suck at it. 😅 Took me quite some time to get used to the controls.
The visual presentation and the arcadey/retro style look awesome.
