Beautiful Game! Love the concept and honestly this is probably the first game I've played yet that I could absolutely see being a real game. Just add another bunch of levels and maybe a couple more mechanics and it's a done game. Simple but super effective idea! Nice job!
I am in love basically with everything in this game! It's so cute, and well-made, and I love jiggling animation. Everything feels really natural (the colors, the growth), and the controls are just perfectly challenging. The fact that you can both win and lose is cool. Great job!
The UX is perfect! It's so satisfying to eat those tiny leaves and mushrooms. The color changes during eating are spot on! Absolutely marvelous work for a 48-hour project!
Chilling gameplay! It gave me Donut County vibes, but with even more power, haha. I love how your body changes color based on the different foods (or everything, really) you consumeβsuch a cool touch for a game jam entry. Great work as always!
Insanely cute little game. Some music would have lifted the relaxation to a whole new level but I really like this piece. The colors are very well chosen and I feel it fits the theme very nicely so good job:)) Sometimes the normals for my movement don't seem to be working as sometime I just am suspended in air when standing on something however this game is so beautiful you should be proud.
Satisfying, polished and with a cute art style, I loved the game, even if the controls were a little fiddly, particularly with trying to climb on things.
Like this a lot, very tasteful visuals, straight to the point idea. Eating sound is nice, but as a sound designer myself I would suggest to add more variation to sounds (playing random samples, varying pitch, etc), movement sound get very repetitive almost immediately, and maybe i could be more squishy...
I wouldn't mind playing more if game was longer :)
I love this concept so much! Different things idk the camera rescaling, the mushrooms having multiple components, needing to climb on a bigger food first to get the smaller one. Each level feels it grows the concept naturally. It reminds me of games like agario, spore, and I've seen variants, but this feel unique. Also just really cute!
I LOVEEEEE this oh my gosh! What an adorable little guy! And all of the in-game feedback you have is seriously excellent. The colors changing to what you ate, the sound of the caterpillar moving and eating, and the little dance at the end make this game so charming. This is definitely one of my favorites I've played this jam. Amazing work!!!
Beautiful visuals and super satisfying gameplay! The color changes while eating are a nice touch, and the simple mechanics make it really fun. A bit of sound variation would enhance it, but overall, it's a charming and relaxing experience. Well done!
So cute!!! And I love that there is some danger with flytrap plants, so you have to be careful at the later levels. The game is so smooth, from the gradual increase in size to all the animations. It's so jiggly! And the sfx with jingles makes the gameplay so satisfying and rewarding. Great work!
What a fun little game! So cute! I can play this for hours if I don't look out. The graphics are outstanding and the atmosphere is cozy. I found one bug though: at the third level somehow one of the seeds was not eaten and then I could not reach it anymore once the mushroom was eaten:
Phenomenal entry! Loved the mm cumbchy sounds and the fact it starts off a bit cozy and calm and peaceful (while secretly teaching me how to play) to then becoming kinda like a puzzler on how to proceed and grow so you can avoid the fly traps was actually brilliant. Loved the small color changes on the body segments on things you eat. A masterful combination of art, design, sounds, and gameplay. This one is a winner. Only criticism is that I wanted more. But it ended beautifully with unexpectedly eating the whole stump haha.
It changes color according to the food it eats, which is very cute. The game is very complete and very fun. You can even eat the spots on the mushroom hahahaοΌThe sound effect sounds like eating cookies, really relaxes me.
This is the cutest thing. It's short but oh so sweet. The art is really great, and I loved that the head took the color of the last thing eaten, and then that color would go down the body as you ate other stuff... \*Chef kiss\* And the sound design is really great as well. I do wish there was some music, but seeing as this is a compo game I totally understand why there isn't. Amazing entry, congrats!
This is super cute! Kind of Katamari Damacy vibes, but with plants that can eat you and a fixed camera angle. It feels like a complete and polished experience, which is pretty rare for a game jam game.
So cute! I love the soft 3D graphics and pastel colors, as if everything was made from fondant/candy. I loved it when it was happily shaking its tail after completing a level. Very nice how the color of the caterpillar changes depending on what it ate.
There was a moment where the hood of a mushroom was still floating in the air because I already ate the base, but I somehow managed to eat in the end.
What a wonderful game! First: I have to talk about the art. I've never seen a game made of modeling clay here at LD. It's truly a work of extreme good taste. Second: What a brilliant and objective minimalist idea. You hit the nail on the head regarding what it means to create a simple and functional game. It aligns perfectly with the theme.
Love this. It's just very well put together and presented in an elegant way with pleasant colours. The caterpillar is super cute and it's just very satisfying to gobble everything up and see the colour changes and the adorable waggle at the end of each level. I'm a little unsure about the tank controls but maybe regular controls would've been confusing when you're climbing all over things (itself very cool). The crunch sound was good but a few more different sounds depending on what you're eating would've been nice. Overall super well done!
Cute and calming game. Given more time, having a title screen could be a nice place to have bird chirps or a start game sound effect when you press any key. At first I wasn't sure there was audio until I started moving. Great job with the sound effects, the chomps are my favorite.

Made me feel like a greedy little caterpillar.

I can only thank you for the experience."
