Silk & Snare - Physics-based Spider Web building!

Bugs come out in great numbers during the month of Spooktober!

In the month of Spooktober, bugs come out at night in massive numbers! You play as a small spider feasting on tiny creatures. Be careful because trick-or-treating kids enjoy throwing rocks at your web!

Build your own web

You are a spider and must use your silk to create a web that will catch as many flies as possible. Flies that go through the web will get caught.

Ensnare flies and feast

Once an unlucky fly has found themselves ensnared in your web, you must go over to them and roll them into silk. After a period of cooking, they will be ready to eat! Note: the spider doesn't need to remain next to the rolled fly for it to get cooked.

Life of a spider is rough

Warning: This game has bugs! (no pun intended)

Due to the complexity of having a spider web simulation in our game, we find many bugs in our spider web, including crashes.

Technology

We are a team of four programmers. We used the Rust programming language with the Bevy framework to create our game. We used Blender to create 3D assets.
