A great little Luigi's Mansion inspired DeMake!

I haven't been this excited to hoover up poop since uh...

this is very cute. it's basic but something about sucking up the lil poops is v satisfying and fun. I enjoy it a lot

could definitely do with another mechanic or 2 to make it a bit deeper but overall very nice. well done!

Charming and fun - are there only two levels? I got a "thanks for cleaning up poop" screen, would have played further :)

The creature animations give them a good bit of cutesy personality. Good fun!

Cute graphics. While I didn't quite understand the game's challenge, I did enjoy the cute character animations. Good job.

Very solid execution of a humorous premise. The art and audio are very cute and inviting. Would love to see a stress mechanic introduced to get a little more invested into the gameplay, but an enjoyable experience overall!

Daaamn, way too short. Just when I was getting the hang of it.

Of course, in it's current state it would start to get repetitive quite quick. The poopers could for example be a bit more aggressive so you couldn't so easily just go around and harvest. The options are endless of course time management and scoping is always an issue. At least you made something fully working and finished.

Of course there is the mini game of "kick the poop" 😅

Played through a second time too and I think it's the enemy pooping sound that is really grating sounding on the second level when they start stacking up. That and the sucking sound were a bit rough (especially with no variation). I'm pretty sure jsfxr can do a lot more pleasant sounding sounds too.

The hold RMB shoot acceleration felt a bit pointless as it started off so damn slow that you could achieve more by just mashing.

Really liked the pixel art. Going very low rez like this isn't as easy as one might think. Especially with nice animations. Just two frames of animation for both walk and idle but the bag bounce really sells it.

What a weird looking mouse, the cord usually goes to the other end... 😂

Took me a second to figure out the creatures leave poop behind and I'm not supposed to hoover them up. Art is nice, the sound effects fit and I like the controls and that you can rapid fire deposit by button mashing. I was sad that there are only two levels, I think more content and some enemies (maybe something that makes you lose stored poop) would turn this into a full, cute game that could be put on some online stores. Very nicely done :)

I loved it. At first the dropping speed being slow made me think ooooh no it will take ages to deliver those 50 poop, but then the speed pick up felt super satisfying.

Thanks all for playing the game! I know it was short, I felt very tired during jam, so I didn't add more levels.
- Cut content: You could suck the poopers and carry them around, and they'd only poop on grass. But there is no level to do that, and inventory got buggy so I cut that :(

@kernon Thank you! I recently seen luigi's mantion on sale :smile: Didn't think that at the time but my subconscious thoughts must have influenced the game idea.

@diabolical-sloth Thanks! I had some content that's cut, so I thought it's better to have the "complete" game instead of 1 more half finished mechanic. Definitely agreed though!

@antti-haavikko Thanks for playing and feedback. I noticed that poop sfx is a little too much, reduced the volume a bit but I guess I couldn't manage to make it to a good level.

For next jam, I'll try making better sfx this time I wanted to focus on simple animations :smile:

@initialposition Sorry had to cut some content! My original idea was having poopers at the garden collecting coffee beans (poop) and serving coffee at the front to customers and balancing collection + serving. Never got the time ofc :smile: Now, it's a chill game with smol creatures :)

Simple game, I would have liked to be able to walk has I suck up poop, would have made the game a bit more dynamic :smile:
