@gargantuan-janitor I actually originally did have that implemented - but I ended up changing it to make it less punishing/less confusing why you lost. I'll have to see if I can find some better feedback for that case and add it back in. Thanks for playing!

This game is so intuitive and fun, the camera zooming out during the gameplay and the feedback showing the score at the end of the game releases the tension in the front, but also fits the theme. I love your game.

I love the sounds that buttons make. I also really enjoyed the game, but I was upset that I would not be able to go beyond the impossible.

Nice simple idea that is well replayable and fun! Definitely a nice break from platformers/using WASD or arrow keys. Cohesive visuals and overall presentation bring it together nicely as well. Great job!

Side note, I couldn't really see the letters in the Ludum Dare webplayer. Itch.io works fine though.

This game is super fun, I had a great time trying to get deeper and deeper. It gets really tense when the timer gets quicker and it makes for a really fun little challenge.

I did only a 20m deep hole because I don't have a qwerty keyboard :'(((

This game was simple, but effective! It was such a a joy to play. Feeling panic from the audio as you get higher and higher and higher and then I forget how to type and dive-bomb! I attempted the keyboard smash method mentioned in these comments and I locked my computer and turned on my graphics card overlay, so maybe not the strat after all. :P

Clean execution:) Had to switch my language, but I'm used to that ^-^ I'd have personally put more emphasis on feedback (more effects like screenshake / colors / particles) that drives urgency. Make it even more dramatic! But I really enjoy this game, I'll keep it bookmarked for sure ^-^

The victory sound feels a bit loud (even though it nails the vibe) especially compared to the music. The graphics could also use a bit more style. Still, everything works well; it’s a solid little game. There’s something really cathartic about jumping higher and higher, then falling back down.

Simple and fun. I had to laugh hard when the dude hit the ground the first time. Really cool!

An original idea, sad that it require a QWERTY keyboard to play comfortably.

Like @littlegamer mentioned AZERTY keyboards are the unofficial HARD mode.
I love the feel and the overall animation polish of each segments, it feels like a well-made mini game that you would find in a mario party game, love it!

A suggestion would be, maybe it's a good idea to show a word for the player to type

I appreciated the increasing tension as the jump sound effect got progressively higher pitched over time. Minor things like that help a simple challenge become even more intense.

It'd be hard to add to the game without ruining its simplicity. One idea would be to give the player a choice between two keys, and power up weight vs height - with different effects in the resulting hole. But honestly, I don't think that's an improvement.

Overall, the simplicity pulls the game together and makes it a joy to play. Well done!

Haha, good one, I like typing games. The dash into the ground is very fun and satisfying to look at. This is one of those games where the leaderboards would be really awesome, so that we can compare our scores. I managed to get 48 meters deep, though definitely with a bit of luck!

I wasn't expecting that kind of gameplay but its really nice!

This was great, would be perfect minigame for one of those type trainer websites. Anyone that can beat my score?

To be honest, the game is so simple yet so fun ! I really loved the interpretation of the game, I feel like I could play lots of games without seeing the time pass ! Great one :) One downside is that my keyboard has an azerty disposition which is not handled by the game, so I have to swap in my mind where the keys are

This is a very well done example of how a simple concept can be super fun. Only issue I found is Z/Y is swapped in my country so I keep getting wrecked by them.

What a great entry. Simple gameplay, consistent graphics, good audio. And here I'm thinking I knew my way around a keyboard - sadly, results were unsatisfying (around 40m)... and that got me wondering, how is it possible that some people were able to achieve so much better results? Well, obviously, they cheated, like me here:

I LOVE THIS GAME!

Love to see simple games, I came in planning to make one but then overscoped as always. Not much to say here, there isn't much but what is there works well - the visuals are clear, the audio keeps you in the game and the mechanics work. The only things that really need to be changed are the issues mentioned above regarding keyboard layouts and a penalty system for pressing the wrong key. Good stuff, well done!

Ah ah! Fun little game with a neat aesthetic. The main idea is clever. I did not expect some kind of games using the keyboard - according to the theme, but why not? However, there is a little problem for those who play with an azerty keyboard (I do). The letters are not the same. I guess that we have to play exclusively using a qwerty keyboard - or you can allow this choice including a menu. Just an idea. Thank you for this good game - and your comment about my own project.
