Jars for the Collector
The Collector is keeping you trapped in his basement to make jars for him. follow his ingredient instructions exactly and ring the bell to give him the jar. If he approves, you get to keep working, if not, you die. (he eats you)
Who knows, maybe he will let you go eventually let you go if you do a good job. Or maybe... there's another way to get rid of him. I hear he's not a fan of mushrooms...
HOW TO PLAY-
Left click is the only control, obey the collectors orders and make jars.

- Fixed a bug where giving the collector an empty jar would always pass the test

Gorgeous pixel art, pretty solid levels of polish, and the biggest SNIIIIIIIIIF. Really neat atmosphere and I like all the little aesthetic choices you made along the way. I want to know more about this freak and why he is this way. Great stuff!

This game is so charming, love the creature design so much! The premise is quite simple, but I think it is perfect for a game jam. The only thing that is missing is some ambient sound, not even music is required, maybe just some wind or anything really :) .
Overall pretty cool memory game. I like it. Especially the effects haha.

I beat it! Whew, that wasn’t easy! I definitely need to work on my memory. It’s a Simon-style game with a clever collecting theme. It really wasn’t easy, but the sense of satisfaction was huge. The art is excellent and the humor is absolutely hilarious, some of the best I’ve seen. It’s a great and very solid entry, all made by you! My sincere congratulations, great game!

Beautiful, reminds me of games I play on DOS a long time ago where you would mix colors to make potions.
You are a cheeky b... on the last one, so i played again but I may have misclicked cause it said I made a mistake (sometimes the sound doesn't play...), So I tried the other end.
The game is a bit too slow to replay a forth time time (you can't skip for faster play)

The graphic and VFX are wonderful. Really enjoyed mixing those materials! The sound of dialogue is a little loud and annoying though. Great job, super cute game!

Really cool game :D Love the multiple ways of finishing the game and the twist for the last order, really didn't expect that, good job :3
My only feedback would be to please pay more attention to audio mixing next time, I had to lower down my speakers to 2% volume while playing because the sniffing sound is just so insanely loud xD

I love this. The mood is so good I really enjoyed it, it was weirdly scary while also being funny^^. Really good art aswell!
I think the sound could use some work, the text sound gets a little repetitive and the sniffing is VERY loud.

Thank you all who have played so far! I'm seeing a few comments on the sound of the sniffing being quite loud, so from now on the collector should be more considerate and will try his best not to sniff so loud. Hopefully this should fix the loud noises for anyone who plays after!

I found a bug in the game. If you present an empty jar, it always succeeds at the sniff test. I managed to cheese through the game that way!

@alexclay I just tried it for myself and it definitely does to that lol, I can't believe i never once tried that when testing it! Thanks for pointing it out, should be fixed in a couple minutes

I had a lot of fun playing this game, and I realized that I don't have the best memory. I found the Sniff sound and the visual hilarious. I do suggest lowering the audio a little bit since it can be a bit loud while wearing headphones.

The polish and presentation of your game is incredible, and god I love that strange creature. I'm really impressed that you managed to make what is a relatively simple mechanic so fun with a mix of presentation, humour and variety.

Wow, that is beautiful! I love all the effects and details, like how the jar content changes visually. And the collector's design! Great level of polish and cohesiveness. I love the humor, especially the S N I F F . The gameplay mechanics' complexity was not your focus this time, but it wasn't an issue at all. I really enjoyed that there were multiple endings! (I have found 3, is that all of them?). The last request took me really off guard, great idea there ^^ Somehow I did it first try, really felt like I'm fighting for my life.
This is one of the best submissions I played in this LDJAM. Everything from the theme, mood, music, feel is right. Filling the jar is juicy.
