Twelve crows I found, \
each one a whispered vow. \
My feet touched real ground, \
the only sound is caw.
Their cry led me here, \
through streets I'd never seen. \
A sound too old for fear, \
a pull between the green.
Twelve names I keep, \
pressed still behind the glass. \
They followed me from sleep, \
like footprints in the grass.
Twelve crows, now mine - or am I somehow theirs?
