First of all, the core idea is really interesting. In our game we actually used a similar input system (up-down, left-right), inspired by Helldivers as well, so it was fun to see a familiar concept used here in a different way.
I like the idea of sending signals to people to help them escape various dangers — that fits the theme nicely. It’s also great that you added the ability to move around inside the cabin and interact with things there. That extra layer of activity makes the gameplay more engaging and keeps the player involved.
Visually, it’s very minimal right now, and the audio is a bit harsh, though I understand the intention — it does create a sense of danger and urgency.
Overall, I think it’s a cool concept with good potential. I’d be really interested to see how you develop and expand it further!
The horse on the cover looks so funny, it totally made me to click in.The game fits the theme really well.Just wish the in-game font matched the art style more!
I had difficulty with the arrow prompts from time to time where it would randomly decide to not register my last key press and for me the sounds overwhelmed my tiny brain. I've marked this game on my list "to return to" later in a couple days when my tired brain has recovered sufficiently from Ludum Dare. You've got a nice game in general and its cool to see someone else using FMOD. We used it for the first time this jam!
I got so scared the first time it sayd valve leak detected. Wasn't so stressed out in a long time hahaha, i got 2500 score, nice game! I guess i should stay in unemployment :P
It has a really engaging gameplay loop. I wish there was more 2d style art as that part was really funny to me. It would also be nice if the bases signals were alerted through a more audible sound effect but that would probably not even do much in the long run anyways, whilest losing part of the games charm. We also landed on a similar idea during our jam entry with waiting for microwave signals but for some reason we chose the puzzle game and burned out (literally). Its nice to see that the waiting idea had some potential after all! Very cool game (but please we need the post-jam horse mode update!!!)
Nicely executed concept, touch of some good fitting jokes and the gameplay is getting rough quickly which is fun. I find it quite hilarious, that you have to protect bases from threats, while such prosaic thing like valve is constantly breaking xDDD As a fellow Grzegorz I send you cheers :D
