Join Charlotte and her bunny in a pink hot-air balloon above a sea of clouds. Bring a bottle to the nursery, a lost teddy to the Toy Isles, and a letter to the Cloud Garden.
There is no rudder. Warm the balloon to rise, let it cool to settle, and find the breeze that carries you home. Two sandbags can help with a difficult approach. Three short flights, a little wind reading, and a gentle landing lead to a moonlit journey home.
*Nursery Skies — a bottle for the nursery.*
How to fly
- Hold Space / left mouse: heat the balloon and rise. Release early to cool and descend. - B / right mouse: drop one of your two sandbags for extra lift. - Choose altitude to choose wind: read the wind ladder and windsocks. - Land gently on the destination deck: you can slide along the planks into the recipient area. - Breeze Perches: descend onto one with heat released to rest; hold Space to lift off. - Escape: pause. R: restart. Enter: continue after a delivery.
Settings include separate music/effects volume, Wind Assist and Reduced Motion. Your best deliveries are saved in this browser. Missing an island is recoverable, even after both sandbags are gone.

Old Tech, warm hearts
A hand-fired burner, temperature gauge, rope and wicker, sandbags, wooden docks and windsocks: old-fashioned balloon machinery makes the theme part of every flight. Horizontal movement belongs to the wind; choosing altitude is the steering.
This is such a beautiful, poetic, and incredibly cozy game! The pixel art style is stunning, and the sight of Charlotte and her bunny in that pink balloon floating above the clouds is absolutely magical. The core mechanic of managing the burner heat to catch different wind currents at various altitudes is brilliant and fits the "Old Tech" theme in a very heartwarming way. The audio design and the gentle background music create a wonderful, meditative ASMR-like atmosphere where you can just drift away and get lost in the skies. I couldn't get very far on my first few flights because balancing the altitude and reading the windsocks takes some serious pilot skills, but the physics feel smooth and the entire presentation is incredibly polished for a Compo entry! Wonderful, heartwarming work! If you have a free moment between flights, I'd be absolutely honored if you could check out my retro-tech ASMR cleaning simulator as well!
The game is very charming and the mechanics are really good. The atmosphere is sooo peaceful. The overall art is good but the sounds are a bit of a miss here. The music loop corresponds very well to the "kids" theme but is too short/repetitive to me.
It took me a while to get used to the control mechanism and that the target location is always the same island to the right, but there's definitely potential for an expanded game here. It reminded me a bit about an old Amiga game called 'Ugh' where you had to ferry people between different locations on the map. By having more floating islands around the map it would improve replayability. Aside from that, the mechanics were enjoyable after I got the hang of it, the graphics were fantastic, and the music suited it perfectly.
This game looked really simple to me at first but I loved that final level. A lot of really tricky maneuvers. Imagining all the different kinds of thing one might do with these mechanics. Nice work.
Such a cute game! The controls feel really nice, and the art style is adorable. I also love how creatively you interpreted the theme. Great job! I took a look at the code too, and it’s just as clean and well put together :)
Charlotte's Balloonatic is an adorably sweet game with the promise and full delivery of something cozy.
While I don't find the game all that challenging personally, I feel it is engaging and I appreciate the effort of making something that is approachable, yet still requires a bit of nuance.
You're probably going to get this a lot, but the game is very aesthetically pleasing. I love this floating island world with little bunnies waiting for you to deliver the mail, what a charming little adventure.
I would have played this game sooooo much as a kid! Such a cute and charming art style, the music is a great fix, and the gameplay is great balance of relaxing/challenging. I love how whimsical the whole experience is, and it feels like you've really made a complete game.
So sweet, so cute. The whole experience, music, mood, brings me lot of feelings and memories from the past, can't tell why. It's funny how other people's art talks to us so personally. Thank you for this experience.
