Ludum Dare #60compo
Nothing to Report?
You're on the night shift at a small electronics shop.
The store is closed. The cameras are on. Nothing should happen.
Watch the cameras. Report anything strange over the radio.
Survive until 1 AM.
This game is inspired by `I'm on Observation Duty` series
- Switch between the cameras and the desk, remember how everything looks
- When something changes, open the radio: pick the camera and the anomaly type, then hold the button to send the report
- A correct report fixes the anomaly. A wrong one only costs you time
- 3 active anomalies — you'll get a warning. 4 - you're fired
- Intruders can be heard from any camera. Don't let them stay too long
- A/D, left/right to change a camera
- Mouse for UI

Thanks for playing!
But overall I really liked the atmosphere, and the sound does a great job of setting it. It's just a hum and some metallic noises in the background, yet somehow it's creepy in all the right ways.
Very fun game! Really draws you in with the atmosphere and mood and grips you until the shift is over. The pixel art style worked well for it, I loved the different colors between the different screens and how it made every view feel unique, at first I thought "there's no way I can remember all that", but it was well-designed enough that I could memorize it pretty well. Great job with that! Audio is setting the mood quite nicely as well, the little bleeps, and the atmospheric wind noises in the background, it's spooky. Awesome job with this game, very well done!
Nice game!
Anyway, this was awesome! It took me a bit to get used to the environment and I completely missed the hold to send part at first, but luckily it starts out slow so I had time to understand everything. I did get way too suspicious about the red beatbox, I was certain something was wrong with it and reported a bit too many false alarms regarding that room. The first time an intruder actually arrived there was horrifying (in a good way!) though, quit fullscreen and never came back afterwards. Luckily my mischief gnome or whatever were utterly obsessed with stealing TVs (or replacing them with skulls when they were feeling creative), which is the sort of scare I can handle. I did get a warning at like 0:30 and in a panic reported the wrong thing, I honestly wasn't sure if my ending was the game over or victory one at first! It felt like it was a bit easy to accidentally report the wrong thing cause of the sheer amount of different options - I kinda wish all the moved/missing/etc. item options were merged (while keeping the actual change having all these of variations of course!) - but otherwise, super cool entry! Enjoyed it a lot!
