A set of small games inspired by the Ventilastation, a low tech game console with a rotating circular display, based on a fan with a LED strip. For me this was a study in circular gameplay: For what kinds of games does circular gameplay work? How do you implement a circular playfield? So, I implemented multiple small games in different genres to see what works. I actually spent most of my time adapting my game engine to support a circular display, and the games are also a technical test to test the new engine features.
Note that in the dodgem game, you can move two lanes at once if you slow down (A key).
Mouse projection doesn't work yet. That means that you have to use trial and error to hover the mouse over the levels to see the level description and best time.
AI disclosure: (almost) no AI used
If you know my other projects, I've used AI in various creative ways, even including AI embedded in the game itself, but this game was created with no AI assistance, apart from helping out with some WebGL boilerplate. Someome mentioned that paying for lots of tokens gives an unfair advantage. I think that's a good point. So here is my token spend data for LD!
Nice work! Really fun core loop and a clever take on the theme. Had a great time playing through it! Left my scores. Greetings from the Meow Bomb team — if you're looking for more games to play and rate, come check out our bomb-crafting cat!
