A GREEDY PROFESSION

A GREEDY PROFESSION is a game about two very competitive space miners.

The goal is to get more points than the other player at the end of a 3 minute period. You get points by digging or, more profitably, by placing a collector (which is done by shooting one at a wall). A collector will reveal the entire area of that color, and start collecting at the edges. During this time, the other player can sabotage the collector by mining around it to stem its flow of edge-mining waves.

Players start "phased out", which is represented by the cross over the player at the start. When you move into an empty (black) area, you phase in, and can begin mining and placing collectors.

You start with 3 collectors to fire, but you get a new one every 8 seconds. Sabotage is a big part of the game!

This is primarily a two-player game, obviously, but single player and sandbox mode (where you can click to place collectors) are available.

Controls:
Player one: WASD for movement and digging, F while moving to fire a collector in that direction.
Player two: Arrow keys for movement and digging, ENTER while moving to fire a collector in that direction.
It is optimal to use the controls with two hands for better maneuverability.

The pixel noise is a fog of war, only letting you see the edges of the materials. The black is a void; miners and collectors can move through it freely.
