MiniLD #35compo
Jam Jam Jam
Defy your vertigo, dare to climb up high!
Controls
Arrows: Run and jump
Space: Use your powerup (etc shoot)
[+/-/0]: Volume and Mute
My entry for MiniLD #35. A simple high score based game about jumping upwards, getting a couple of powerups (4 a the moment) and avoiding various things that kill you.
Didn't have much time to work on it this weekend, but I think it turned out fine for what it is. I would have liked to streamline the gameplay a bit. It's a bit "undefined". At times I have thought about ripping out the upgrades completely and make it focus on just jumping. Well well...
The music is an old track I made for our game Pixelvania Racing.
Hope you like it!

could definitely see this game on mobile devices. One of those fun, fast paced, addicting games.

Awesome game! Feels very polished. The powerups are awesome; I don't know why you would want to leave them out. The bomb was my favourite. It has just the right balance to make it addictive as well, which is rather challenging to do in an LD game.

I think you took the theme a little to literal though.
