Sign Drop
This game is from the old Ludum Dare platform. You can try viewing the original page on Web Archive

Using your trusty, nimble helicopter, pick up signs from the aircraft carrier and drop them on the landing sites to weaken the PADDLE OF ATTENTION. After dropping on a few sites (indicated by blue feet-on-the-ground signs), the PADDLE OF ATTENTION should be weak enough to sneak by. Alternatively, wait until you have dropped signs on all five sites to ensure curiosity can win.
=== CONTROLS ===
IF these controls don't work for you, download a standalone version to remap them.
Mouse up/down or up/down keys: Pitch the helicopter.
Mouse left/right or left/right keys: Roll the helicopter.
A/D: Yaw the helicopter.
W/S: Collective up/down, moving the helicopter vertically.
V: Cycle camera angle. (Chase, cockpit, and overhead are the available modes.)
Q/E/Shift: Look left/right/down in cockpit mode.
R: Reset helicopter. (This doesn't reset your sign drops! Try completing all five without resetting for a challenge.)
=== TIPS ===
Understanding the fake helicopter physics might help you stay in control.
First, the helicopter tends to point in the direction of movement, due to aerodynamic forces on the body of the craft. You can actually ignore the yaw controls and still do fine!
The movement of the blades makes the helicopter severely damp vertical movement. This means that when stopping, pitching the nose up causes potentially unwanted vertical speed. Instead, rolling then pitching to the left or right bleeds off forward speed and leaves the helicopter with more manageable left/right movement.
Descending by holding the helicopter steady then lowering the collective is slow (and not to mention boring). Try circling with a lowered collective to bring your craft to a much quicker rest.
=== CREDITS ===
I used a lot of free art for this game! Sky and water are the default Unity 5 assets, and textures are from [CG Textures]. I didn't have access to my usual set of programs, so I scavenged for things that would convey meaning and came up with sign images.
