Background
When your parents sent you to the Kingdom of Far Far Away, you thought you had it made. A starter hoard, a nice cave, a nearby castle to pillage. Turns out things aren’t quite so easy, even for a dragon. A hoard is nice, but all the local goods aren’t quite as impressive as an enchanted sword. And the castle is actually fairly well defended: every time you get close, a storm of arrows erupts from the walls. And now, your parents are flying in to visit. They’re arriving in five days, and if you don’t have a royal feast ready for them... Well, let’s say dragon parents take grounding their wayward children very literally. Fortunately, necessity is the mother of invention: you have come up with a plan to lure the royal family away from their defenders, by placing various forms of bait outside the castle. Now you have five days to figure out what the royals are interested in, where they might be induced to leave the castle, and provide incentive for them to get far enough from the castle for a quick swoop to pick them up. So draw some royal flesh out of the castle, and save your bacon.
Instructions
There are four members of the royal family in the castle, and you’ll need all of them to make a proper feast. They all have a habit that you can use to lure them out of the castle: you can often see them practicing in the castle courtyard, although not everyone will come out at any given time. Also, each royal will have a side of the castle they prefer: if they aren’t in the courtyard, they are often watching that side of the castle. If you place some bait that interests them where they can see it, they should (eventually) come out to pick it up, and you can swoop down and grab them to take back to your hoard.
To find this bait, you’ll have to fly to various locations around the castle. Some bait can be found in your hoard, to the west of the castle. North of the castle is a village, south is a dark forest, and to the east is a thriving port city. Each location will have multiple things you can pick up; also, many items are useful for more than one habit. Dragon claws are not particularly dextrous: you’ll only be able to carry one thing at a time, including one of your royal hors d’oeuvres. So remember to drop them off at your hoard before starting your next bait gathering expedition.
