Last in Time
This game is from the old Ludum Dare platform. You can try viewing the original page on Web Archive

IMPORTANT: If you are using the WEB VERSION, you probably can't use the escape key. Use the Up/Down arrows for canceling inventory selection instead. If you can't move, try clicking the screen once.

Here is my second Ludum Dare game. It is an top down adventure game (but no point and click) where you walk around and interact with stuff. You have an inventory and can use items to interact with the environment, as well as inspect them and combine them (like in a classical adventure).
The game is totally playable, however since we were running out of time, the map (which is totally one "room") isn't made of that many different environment objects as it should have been. Also, there are no real "ways" and intersections and stuff, you can just walk whereever you want. YOu still have to find the items, and use them in the right way. The goal of the game is (spoiler) to find both pieces of an artefact. This isn't made clear enough from within the game.
Here are a few important tips:
- While an item in inventory is selected, the "interact" command (Spacebar) tries to use that item instead of jsut interacting. Use Esc to unselect it.
- Inspect items in inventory with Q. Try combining them with E.
- If you are [spoilers hidden], you can use a certain item at any point of the map, but if you are [more spoilers hidden], it can only be used in one place.
I made this game together with Dr_Ewes who made all the music in it and the few sounds that I managed to put in. All the content is made by us, with the exception of the used fonts (Masaaki and PixelOperator).
The game is made with Godot Engine (custom build), aseprite and some audio software.
Well, have fun and thank you for playing!
